BlockTunes 1.3 and Roadmap Update - Ready To Rock

BlockTunes is a blockchain music platform the is bringing blockchain solutions to the music industry. Built on Binance Smart Chain, we have built our own NFT marketplaces that artists can come and mint rare one of a kind pieces that they can sell as fine art, or mint work that can be sold for royalty free licensing rights!

We are building our core around our DAO, or decentralized autonomous organization that is also built on Binance Smart Chain using the XDAO App DAO builder. Our DAO contains multiple farms from PancakeSwap as well as a lending and credit line using the Venus protocol. This is how artists can earn from their music submissions without a single play or purchase! Fans can also take advantage and invest into our DAO and earn while supporting the growth of the independent music industry!

Updates To BlockTunes

Version 1.3 is bringing some major UI clean up. Not only to the design, but the content that was presented. We are on a mission to try and makes things as easy as possible for artists to get going, so the less we confuse them from the start, the better.

So basically the social links were moved up near the top of the home page, basically giving a call to action to get involved in one of our communities, whether it is on Hive, Discord, Telegram, or Twitter.

We also moved around allot of the feature information from the front page to the respective pages for those topics. Just trying to make things a bit more simplified.

Added Simpleswap Exchanges

One addition we made was that we added in 2 Simpleswap.io exchanges that allows you to trade over 400 assets into either BUSD or BNB both on BSC. Hive is also included in that exchange, although it is really easy to exchange into BNB or BUSD via Tribaldex.com.

BlockTunes BSC Wallet

We have made some additions to the BlockTunes BSC Wallet.

We have added the CAKE token as that is going to be the dividend payout token from the DAO, as well as we added the ability to send tokens from your wallet and we also included a transaction section.

Now the BlockTunes wallet does more than just display your tokens and NFTs!

You will still need Metamask to interact with the NFT marketplaces and voting on the DAO.

New Music Player

Since the last update, we have been busy working on the music player interface and we have hit the mark! We have built in a stylish player that will play continuously through all the songs on a particular page. There is a nice little sticky player that sits at the bottom of the screen that allows sharing and adding the song to your cart.

The only downside currently with this player is that it doesn't play when you switch pages. So that is why at least on the front page, all of the links open up to new tabs. This way you get to see the info you are wanting to see while still keeping the latest tunes flowing!

Hopefully we can figure out a continuous play situation down the road for page changes, but for now, we are happy with what we have built.

Simple Forms - We Do All The Hard Work For You!

We have integrated a few different forms for artists that make it simple to sign up as an artist, submit music, print on demand products, and more. You don't necessarily need to know how it all works, just know that once it is all up and running, you will be the one benefiting from YOUR music! We only get a little cut out of the DAO funds.

New and Improved Artist Central Page

The first version was just a little place holder that had links, now we have our services laid out in a nice orderly fashion with a little description and link. This is where we will add our different form links for our services as well as any partner service offerings, such as public relation services from @indiebandguru.

This will be an evolving section, but we finally have the right direction.

Wrapping Up The Updates

So needless to day, we have been busy! The BlockTunes advisors have been very helpful in getting things going in a clear and concise manner. I do tend to go a bit crazy in the building process, throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks, lol. So I am thankful to @ivanc @indiebandguru and the @stickupboys for being there to help keep me on the straight and narrow! I have to remember that sometimes, just because I can, doesn't mean I should, lol.

On To The Roadmap Update

Most of the main functions have been built and are operational. We just have some things that we are working on that will be a little further down the road. You know, we have to keep some kind of anticipation going, lol.

So here are some things we are still looking forward to down the road...

BlockTunes Plus and Pro Release Services

Coming Quarter 2, 2022

First let's talk about the standard BlockTunes Release Service...

The current BlockTunes Release submission service provides artist with their tracks loaded for streaming and sale on the site, as well as 2 royalty free NFTs minted and put up for sale on the store which include the regular download. They also get a t-shirt and hoodie with their cover art posted to their store using our print on demand service, which also NOW includes the song download with the purchase of the merchandise!

In the main music listing, we will also add in a direct to artist tipping section with a QR code of your BlockTunes BSC wallet address and a Hive tipping section with one time tip or recurring tip options. Artists are not required to have a Hive account but are highly encouraged to start one.

On top of all this, you also get a review write up of your track from the @blocktunes Hive account and shared on all of our social media platforms.

The fee you pay for submission is used to purchase the bTUNES token from our DAO and will be sent back to your BlockTunes BSC wallet address. This gives you ownership in the DAO as well as monthly dividend payments that we will discuss in a bit! Pretty good deal if you ask me!

BlockTunes Plus

With our BlockTunes Plus service, you will get all of the previous mentioned things, as well as we are going to be able to distribute your release to other platforms such as the Hivelist Store and NFT marketplace, Audius, and other blockchain platforms we end up partnering with down the line! We do all the heavy lifting for you.

We make all of your accounts on the various platforms. For this we will create you a blocktunes.net email address that will be used for release purposes. We will give you access to this account if you request, but we ask that you do not change anything because we will also use it for administration purposes.

Part of the BlockTunes Plus option is distribution. This CAN include mainstream distribution as well. We are now a registered publisher with Emanate.live which is represented by @djlethalskillz among others, and whom we will be using for our mainstream distribution service as well as they have their own streaming service built on the EOS blockchain.

Artist will need an EOS wallet and an account with Emanate as well as 10k EMT tokens staked in their Emanate account to subscribe to the Pro Choice option which allows you to get paid in crypto for streaming from their platfrom as well as all of the mainstream distribution to sites like Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, YouTube Music, TikTok Music, and more.

Artists are free to handle this themselves, but...If you want us to handle all of that for you... We certainly have a plan for that...

Enter the BlockTunes Pro Memebership

This is a one time payment that covers your account creation using your BlockTunes email address, EOS wallet creation, and purchase of the needed EOS and EMT tokens for the wallet. We will get all of that setup with tokens staked in YOUR new EOS wallet and send you all the needed private keys and such. Once this is all setup, you are good to go for distribution! The only fees from then on will be the for the BlockTunes Plus release, which in comparison to many other platforms out there, is a really good deal for what you get!

The price for this package will fluctuate with the price of the token. We will be watching this daily and adjusting accordingly.

OpenTunes EDITIONS NFT Marketplace - Coming July!

We are in the works of building a second OpenTunes NFT marketplace. But this one will be different than the current OpenTunes RARE market. The EDITIONS market will have the ability to mint multiple editions of the same item! This has been something we have been wanting to do, but now have the ability! The framework is currently being built and when ready we will launch a testnet collection and then go live on mainnet in the first part of Quarter 3, so sometime in July.

This will give artists a way to sell their work as more limited editions instead of the rare one off pieces.

The EDITIONS marketplace will not be eligible for DAO dividends. Which leads us to our next topic...

DAO Dividend Payments - Starting in Quarter 3, 2022

Starting in Quarter 3, we are going to start paying out dividends to bTUNES token holders as well as holder of the OpenTunes RARE NFT collection on a monthly basis on the first of the month! So starting in August, you will get a payment from the DAO rewards from July, and so on.

bTUNES token holders will get the bulk of the payout at 40% of the rewards from the DEFI farms. 5% is going to be paid out to OpenTunes RARE NFT holders.

The other 5% will be paid out to our A&R Referral NFT holders. We will talk about this next...

Out of the other 50% of the DAO rewards, 40% will be reinvested into the DAO or used to pay off DAO loans. The other 10% is paid directly to the BlockTunes wallet to cover administrative and operational expenses.

This of course will all be done through DAO votes. So we will submit the votes on the 1st of the month to the DAO for governance voting and will activate once they have enough votes.

A&R Referral Program Coming Quarter 3, 2022

We are going to be implementing a new referral system into our platform! So if you know artists or bands and refer them to us and use our submission services, you will get and NFT representing each artist you refer, and you will receive 5% of the monthly DAO dividends as a payment for artist referral!

So it pays to go out and find good independent artists who want to get their feet wet in the crypto game! More info on this to come!

Metaverse Events Coming Quarter 3, 2022

So later on in Quarter 3 we are wanting to have out first metaverse live events. We will most likely do some testing and get it started a little earlier in our Discord server, but we are looking at using platforms like Altspace VR, the same platform that was used for HiveFest, as a cool VR concert venue. At least until some other good platforms show up. This is nothing new, we have mentioned this since the start, but has been put on the back burner till we get all the major functionality built.
