Recently I have spent some time looking at Twitch. Looking at the streaming side of things a little bit. For that, with me anyway. It would mean an upgrade to connection and a new computer. That could turn out to be costly.

I have thrown some Starbits Starpro and some cards at some of the streamer who stream and advertise the games on Hive. Probably a bit too generous with the prizes.

An add-on to the Rising Star Game is under development.
Battle of the Bands.

Right now the game seems simple enough. Join a list and you get paired of for a battle. It runs in a tournament type manner. Winners play off against each other.

A card is selected at random for each player (at the moment). Each card has a value based on the stats the card holds.

The card with the highest score from stats will win the battle and progress. Most of the streamers seem to be using this game for their stream at the moment.

The game itself is still in development mode and I expect it will develop to something much more complicated than it is right now.

The game is still in development. It is getting used to give prizes to those who watch streams though. The game seems to be intended to reward new players to the game.

Equal the level playing field a bit. So those with a big deck of cards. Do not have an advantage over other players, who are new to the Rising Star game.

Can't see anything wrong with that.

However.

When the prizes are not prizes for the Rising Star game and the development of this new add-on. The game should be fair to everyone on an even playing field.

Using the game Battle of the Bands as the deciding factor of a winner places. This serves only to punish any long term player to the rising star game, when the prizes are for other games.

The advantage some players have over other is re-entry. A new player to the game can get revived.

This means any player who has built up any strength in the game through investment of finance or time is placed at a disadvantage for winning anything.

While experienced player will have no qualms about the added difficulty to the add-on to Rising Star.

Myself. I think it is shameful. Inviting people to join a stream offering prizes from WAX Splinterlands or any other reward excluding Rising Star rewards.

Is downright shameful to use a game that gives advantages to some over others.
