I actually hope he is able to create a strong third party that can over time offer a third option to us Americans. Right now we have to choose between two large corporations to run the country, the Republicans and Democrats. They really aren't parties, they are huge companies. We need a third party that can really compete, at first the new party will be weak, but if he throws enough money at it he might be able to slowly get some congressional seats or even governor's offices ins some state. Eventually the top office could be an objective, but no time in the near future.

If he wants to work on this party, it will probably take years to make it a viable third option, it depends what he wants to do and if he won't change idea.
I believe the current parties, Republicans and Democrats, provide jobs for many people, and as is the case here in Italy, many still vote right or left, despite the existence of other parties. I believe as long as the two major parties share jobs or businesses, they will always have the same votes. In Italy, we had a particular example: the Five Star Movement, a grassroots movement. After five years in politics, the Five Star Movement entered government. I can't quite understand American politics; I can't understand whether there's any basis for something like what happened here in Italy with the Five Star Movement. But I do say that Musk is one of the most brilliant minds alive today and has already amazed us many times. What Musk dreamed of has already come true. !CTP
