Industrial production in the US died in the 1990's and is a huge problem in our country as well as in Italy and Europe. I know the tariffs are aimed to reverse that and bring production home, and shift the tax burden from people's income to import taxes. In the short term things aren't going to be pretty for anyone, and the sooner everyone settles for a balanced playing field the sooner the pain will start to end.
Stock markets are always reactionary to extremes. We will likely see some bounce back next week, however gold is the place to be right now. I've always felt it was a nice safe haven, but even more so now.
It's going to be interesting for quite awhile in my opinion, and it may not be a good interesting. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best as few of us really have any control of what's happening at the top levels of government. Have a great weekend!
