SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE! 🔥Djinn Apprentice

It's about to get really hot out here because for this week's share your battle challenge we're supposed to win with the fire splinter's Djinn Apprentice. Let's see if the enemies can survive the heat.

THE DJINN APPRENTICE

The Djinn Apprentice is one of the few magic monsters under the fire splinter. For a 5 mana monster, he's really not so bad. His health starts at 4 and gets to max at 5. The speed is ok too starting at 2 and maxing out at 4, The damage is what I even like. That 3x damage at level 4 can be very powerful for a low mana card in silver.
As for abilities, the Djinn Apprentice does not have much of those. He only gets Deathblow at level 6 which can come in handy especially if he gets into a one-on-one.
I'll be using this card at level 4 for this battle.

The Combat Rules and My Strategy

| COMBAT RULES | ![]() |
|---|---|
| MODIFICATIONS | Super Sneak, Holy Protection |
| ACTIVE SPLINTERS | Fire, Water, Earth, Death |
Strategy
Normally I would put a lot of thought in protecting my frontline but with Super Sneak, I expect a couple of melee monsters on the other side. So, I will protect the back a little more than usual.
| SUMMONER | ![]() |
|---|---|
| NAME | TARSA |
| SPLINTER | FIRE |
| EDITION | CHAOS LEGION |
| RARITY | RARE |
| LEVEL | 4 |
| MANA COST | 4 |
| BUFFS | +1 MELEE ATTACK, +1 HEALTH |
Given the Super Sneak ruleset, it would make sense to use Tarsa as a summoner because of that +1 melee buff. I don't really have a choice because she's the only fire summoner I have.
| MONSTER 1 | ![]() |
|---|---|
| NAME | VENARI HEATSMITH |
| SPLINTER | FIRE |
| EDITION | REWARD |
| RARITY | COMMON |
| LEVEL | 5 |
| MANA COST | 3 |
| ATTACK | NONE |
| SPEED | 4X |
| HEALTH | 4X |
| TOUGHNESS | 3X |
| ABILITIES | VOID ARMOR |
No attack, no problem. Venari Heatsmith may just be the best tank for this ruleset. Since the melee monster would be focused at the back, I have to worry about range, magic monsters and the enemy tank attacking the front. Thankfully, this guy's Void armor can stop some of the damage from any attack.
| MONSTER 2 | ![]() |
|---|---|
| NAME | SCORCH FIEND |
| SPLINTER | FIRE |
| EDITION | CHAOS LEGION |
| RARITY | LEGENDARY |
| LEVEL | 2 |
| MANA COST | 0 |
| ATTACK | 1X MELEE ATTACK |
| SPEED | 3X |
| HEALTH | 1X |
| TOUGHNESS | 0 |
| ABILITIES | NONE AT LVL 1 |
Ok so it's the Super Sneak ruleset and if I can get a free melee monster in there, I will. Plus, Tarsa's buff will give this 0 mana card some actual weight in his attacks.
| MONSTER 3 | ![]() |
|---|---|
| NAME | RADIATED SCORCHER |
| SPLINTER | FIRE |
| EDITION | CHAOS LEGION |
| RARITY | COMMON |
| LEVEL | 5 |
| MANA COST | 6 |
| ATTACK | 1X MELEE ATTACK |
| SPEED | 3X |
| HEALTH | 2X |
| TOUGHNESS | 0 |
| ABILITIES | SHATTER |
Radiated Scorcher was the last monster I picked because I had 1 mana left to fill. Having some more extra melee attack is not a bad idea so why not.
| MONSTER 4 | ![]() |
|---|---|
| NAME | DJINN APPRENTICE |
| SPLINTER | FIRE |
| EDITION | CHAOS LEGION |
| RARITY | RARE |
| LEVEL | 4 |
| MANA COST | 5 |
| ATTACK | 3X MAGIC ATTACK |
| SPEED | 3X |
| HEALTH | 4X |
| TOUGHNESS | 0 |
| ABILITIES | NONE AT LVL 4 |
Alright now for the Djinn Apprentice. All the other monsters would be attacking the back while this guy would be beating down the tank. That 3x magic damage can really do a lot.
| MONSTER 5 | ![]() |
|---|---|
| NAME | ANTOID PLATOON |
| SPLINTER | FIRE |
| EDITION | CHAOS LEGION |
| RARITY | COMMON |
| LEVEL | 5 |
| MANA COST | 4 |
| ATTACK | 2X RANGE ATTACK |
| SPEED | 2X |
| HEALTH | 4X |
| TOUGHNESS | 2X |
| ABILITIES | SHIELD |
Super Sneak? I got just the best defense. Antoid Platoon will be able to take some sneak attacks with that Shield ability. This backline monster will definitely be a hard nut to crack.

The Battle Highlights

Round 1:

- The summoners start with their buffs and debuffs.
- Pelacor Deceiver focuses his attacks on Venari Heatsmith.
- As Djinn Apprentice shoots fireballs at Pelacor Deceiver, the other three monster sneak attack Cursed Windeku.
- Cursed Windeku does some damage on Antoid Platoon but Carrion Shade and Cursed Slimeball's attacks prove futile thanks to the hard shield.
Round 2:

- As Pelacor Deceiver charges at the Venari Heatsmith, Djinn Apprentice throws magic balls at him.
- Scorch Fiend and Radiated Scorcher sneak attack Cursed Windeku but are taken out by his thorns.
- The Antoid Platoon is struck by the Cursed Windeku but they avenge their brothers by taking down the monster.
- Now Carrion Shade and Cursed Slimeball are left to throw the useless attacks on the Antoid Platoon.
Round 3:

- Venari Heatsmith takes another hit from Pelacor Deceiver who takes yet another blast from Djinn Apprentice.
- The Antoid Platoon destroys Carrion Shade's Divine shield.
- Carrion Shade and Cursed Slimeball still try to penetrate the Antoid Platoon's shield but fail.
Round 4-6:

- Pelacor Deceiver keeps striking Venari Heatsmith until he is killed.
- Djinn Apprentice destroys Pelacor Deceiver.
- Antoid Platoon takes down Carrion Shade.
- The Antoid Platood destroys the Divine Shield of the Cursed Slimeball before Djinn Apprentice finishes him off. DEFEATED!

Victory!

The only thing better than a strong offense is a much stronger defense. The Death team's defense was not as strong as the Fire team's and so they easily crumbled from the offensive pressure. Take that, Thaddius!

Did My Strategy Work?

Sure it did! Placing Antoid Platoon at the back to guard against the sneak attacks was really smart. Because of that, after Cursed Windeku was taken out, the enemy basically had just one attacker at the front.
Also, using Tarsa as a summoner was also a good idea. Her extra melee damage buff made it possible for Scorch Fiend and Radiated Scorcher to do significant damage before the were killed by the thorns.
Another thing that worked out fine was the use of Venari Heatsmith as a tank. He was able to take every punch from Pelacor Deceiver.

Do I like the Djinn Apprentice

Of course I do. I use this monster at level 4 where he does not have any abilities but I still like him. That 3x magic attack is the reason I like this guy so much and also the fact that he's a few of the magic monsters in Fire.
