Hey, lions, do you think ditching the www and moving blog & social media to Web3, particularly #hive was a smart move? Beating other websites, YouTubers, SEO optimization is not my highest priority right now.

Hive doesn't have much reach on the social sphere. Nothing wrong with creating on chain, but the reach is still traditional social media.
I do agree on that. I think I will continue to "be active" or at least drive more traffic to my hive blog https://thatvirtualguy.dblog.org/ and #hive itself.
Yeah and people in traditional social media are fascinated with the rewards that web3 provides. as much as people want to ignore that, and i'm not sure if it'll ever be 'the reason' web 3 takes off...but it is something that captures the attention
From the perspective of a developer / content creator, before you optimize SEO and get traffic over Google, a lot of time can pass before someone reads your post. Same with YouTube. 4k watch hours 1000 subscribers etc

I spent 25 years in internet marketing....Spent about 3 minutes of that time worrying about SEO lol
I mean, you can optimize for sure...But there are much more effective ways to generate page views and engagement.
Thank you for the much-appreciated input. Will keep both sides running for now and see which one performs better in terms of views and engagement.
