At this moment there are over 400,000 daily players. At least according to Peakmonsters.com
Now a little tidbit of information about the Chaos set release. If all 15 million packs are opened there would be : 1,749,360,000 Power up for grabs (depending on potion use but we'll leave that out for now). That seems like an awful lot of power up for grabs but then look at the 400,000 players.
If you do a little math that means there is 4373 power for each player in the game. That's not even enough to get everyone out of bronze 2. Now there are also cards out there already but only Untamed and Chaos will be counted for the modern format. While Untamed are worth twice the power there were not nearly as many cards printed (1.5 Million so equal to 3 Million Chaos packs).
Just looking at Chaos here's a quick look at how many people can be in each ranking max :
I know everyone wants to be a Champion but if 3500 made it to Champion level the other 396,000 players wouldn't even hit Bronze 2.
Take home message of the day? Every card levels differently. Every card plays differently in a different tier. There are great rewards at every tier from Silver on up. If you are feeling down because it doesn't seem like you will every make it to Champion.
Remember: The game isn't designed to let everyone play at Champion level. Enjoy the tier you are in and be the best you can be with what you have with the tier you are in.

Nowadays I am mostly in the Silver Leagues, and I very happy if I reach the Silver Leagues. Currently my max tier is Silver III. The higher Leagues requiring a huge amount of investment from the players.
I am trying to. I am often struggling to win against the basic/classic Haunted Spirit death team. But the game is still fun. I enjoy playing it and writing about it in posts and in comments.

Any advice for those struggling in bronze 3? It sounds like you’re pretty knowledgeable about this game. I was told that daily missions were the answers to players without the income to invest. However, the daily rewards are mostly coins and potions. I’m still not sure what to do with potions because I don’t have any card packs.
I have another account @hiveabbyftp where I started with nothing and not even a spellbook. My advice was not to bother with a spellbook until you have enough to get away from Bronze 3 as the rewards just weren't worth it. Use the spellbook money to invest into DEC and use the SPS airdrop to grow your rewards. Also regular blogging on this site for extra SPT as well.
Once you have a little chest of money then purchase a stable of cards with a lvl 2 summoner and some lvl 3 commons. It's amazing what a well tuned group can do. I regularly win to bronze 2/1 with a fairly weak but levelled up line (mostly water/life).
