RE: A taxing time for British Farmers....!

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but it's very fishy that Bill Gates visited Starmer a week before the budget, and pfoof!!, this bombshell drops.
The only real outcome here is that small farms will be forced to sell after this generation passes, and ofc, big wallets will scoop them up, as you point out.
Gates is buying a lot of farmland in the US btw.
As a side note, in the budget documents ( not mentioned in the actual budget) , there are tax receipts attributed to ISA holdings starting in 2026, at a small number then rising significantly after that, no other explanation given, just a line item in the future tax receipts section.
So damn disappointing that we have no options that offer anything other than which way you want to be screwed
I wasn't aware of that I don't trust Gates, no one should.
RE the ISAs, isn't that just because of fiscal drag...? If it is it's still a change>
I don't know about fiscal drag, but I'm pretty sure there should be no tax receipts from ISAs.... /goes off the ask ChatGBT what fiscal drag is :-)
