[ENG/ESP] Decorated pencil
Hello dear friends of #Diyhub, once again here with you to share with you another of my crafts. This time I decorated a pencil for a gift I want to give to Eliani, José's sister, the boy to whom I recently gave a puzzle that I made using one of the Splinterland cards, and this time I will use another of his cards for the pencil that I will decorate.
For the decoration of the pencil I used the card called "Talia Firestorm", it is a card created but not used, I thought it was good for my creation. Below I will show you the materials I used and step by step how I went about making this craft.
Materials:
- 1 ball from a deodorant bottle.
- 1 small wooden bead
- Green and yellow felt
- Green and brown foam
- Green and red yarn
- Movable eyes
- Sheet of paper
- Pencil
- Colored pen
- Scissors
- Model knife
- Liquid silicone
- Needle and thread

En esta ocasión decoré un lápiz para un regalo que quiero hacerle a Eliani, la hermana de José, el niño al que hace poco le regalé un rompecabezas que elaboré utilizando una de las cartas de Splinterland, y en esta ocasión utilizaré otra de sus cartas para el lápiz que decorare.
Para la decoración del lápiz utilicé la carta llamada "Talia Firestorm", es una carta creada pero no utilizada, a mí me pareció buena para mi creación. A continuación les mostraré los materiales que utilicé y paso a paso cómo fui elaborando esta manualidad.
Materiales:
- 1 bola de un frasco de desodorante
- 1 cuenta pequeña de madera
- Fieltro verde y amarillo
- Foami verde y marrón
- Estambre verde y rojo
- Ojos móviles
- Hoja de papel
- Lápiz
- Bolígrafo de colores
- Tijeras
- Cuchilla de maqueta
- Silicón líquido
- Aguja e hilo
The first thing I did was to cut a hole in the ball with the mock-up knife.
Lo primero que hice fue abrirle un agujero a la bolita con la cuchilla de maqueta.
After opening the hole, I glued the wooden bead to the deodorant ball using liquid silicone.
Después de haber abierto el agujero, pegué la cuenta de madera a la bola de desodorante con ayuda del silicón líquido.
Once it was dry, I lined them with the green felt, which I stitched with the needle so that it would not come loose.
Una vez que estuvo seco, pasé a forrarlos con el fieltro verde, al cual le fui dando unas puntadas con la aguja de manera que no se soltara.
Then, I drew on the sheet of paper the pieces that I will need to decorate my doll and cut them out. Then, I transferred them to the materials and cut them out.
Luego, dibujé en la hoja de papel las piezas que voy a necesitar para poder decorar mi muñeco y las recorté. Después, las transferí a los materiales y las recorté.
I cut 9 strands of véis color and 4 strands of red color. I tied them in half with a strand of véis worsted yarn.
Pasé a picar los hilos de estambre con un largo de 10 cm, corté 9 hebras de color véis y 4 de color rojo. Las amarré por la mitad con una hebra de estambre véis.
Then, with the pens I painted the lines of the foami ears and when I finished them, I glued them with the help of silicone.
Después, con los bolígrafos pinté las líneas de las orejas de foami y cuando las terminé, las pegué con ayuda del silicón.
I continued assembling, gluing the yellow felt piece with the liquid silicone.
Continué armando, pegando la pieza de fieltro amarillo con el silicón líquido.
Now I glue the hair, which are the strands of stamen, with the liquid silicone, giving it the desired shape.
Ahora paso a pegarle el cabello, que son las hebras de estambre, con el silicón líquido dándole la forma deseada.
Then, I glued the mobile eyes, the little brown horns and the white fangs.
Luego, pegué los ojos móviles, los cuernitos marrones y los colmillos blancos.
With the scissors I cut a little bit of the worsted hair and that's it, Talia's little head is finished.
Con las tijeras corté un poco el cabello de estambre y listo, ya está terminada la cabecita de Talia.
My pencil ornament is now finished and I am going to place it on the pencil.
Ya tengo concluido mi adorno para el lápiz, paso a colocarlo en el mismo.
