Hey, there you are. Thanks for stopping by my fanart blog.
For this week's Splinterlands Art Contest I would like to present my almost “One Piece” inspired version of “Pirate of Eight”.

I really had One Piece in mind and conjured up my variant.

The background and the Splinterlands logo are also very active and lively today.

I wanted to integrate and retain some of the details of the one piece character Zoro (one eye closed, relaxed sword stance, casual outfit and appearance) (as the original Splinterlands character also has these traits)

Since Zoro and also my Splinterlands fanart character “Pirate of Eight” have one eye closed, I thought it would be amusing if the logo got the eye for it and thus became a kind of Splinterlands logo monster. Basically, the logo got my pirate's missing eye, so to speak, which is also slightly ironic. Yeah yeah yeah, I'm weird at creating sometimes.

Well, anyway, this time I didn't start with the eyes or the face, but with the background. Because you won't see it so much later, as it's literally a minor matter or takes place in the background.

I didn't redraw the eye each time, but used 3 layers. One layer for the base: i.e. the frame of the logo (only filled in black), layer two was the eye and the teeth, which were easy to move with a transparent background after I had saved it each time. The third layer of the background was simply the background color without frame and logo. So that the eye does not protrude from the actual frame. Basically the veneer, if you will.

I drew the selected character “Pirate of eight” once, then saved it with a transparent background and moved it frame by frame or image by image, saved it and finally lined it up like an old flip book. This creates the effect of movement or a sequence at a certain speed.

I created the individual images using Ibispaint. But then simply inserted them into a gif program to create this.

For longer sequences I like to use a video editor, insert the individual images there, set each one to 1 second or so and then convert it using Gif Maker. It depends on the effect I want to create, because there can be slight visual differences.

Das Splinterlands Logo-Monster beobachtet Pirate of eight

Hey, na du? Danke für das Vorbeischauen auf meinem Fanart-Blog.

Zum dieswöchigen Splinterlands Art Contest möchte ich meine fast schon "One Piece" angehauchte Variante von "Pirate of Eight" präsentieren.

Ich hatte wirklich gleich an One Piece gedacht und meine Variante draus gezaubert.

Auch der Hintergrund bzw. Das Splinterlands Logo ist heute sehr aktiv und lebendig.

Ich wollte so ein bisschen die Details vom one piece Charakter Zoro (ein Auge zu, lockere Schwerthaltung, legeres Outfit und Erscheinung) integrieren und beibehalten (da der original Splinterlands Charakter diese Züge auchh etwas aufweist)

Da Zoro und auch mein Splinterlands Fanart Charakter "Pirat von Acht" ein Auge geschlossen haben, dachte ich, es wäre amüsant, wenn das Logo dafür das Auge bekommt und somit eine Art Splinterlands-Logo-Monster wird. Im Grunde hat das Logo das fehlende Auge meiner Piratin sozusagen bekommen, was auch eine leichte Ironie aufweist. Jajaja, ich bin weird im kreieren manchmal.

Ich hoffe euch gefällt meine Fanart Kreation, Zeichnung und Animation.

Nun ja, jedenfalls fing ich diesesmal nicht mit den Augen oder Gesicht an, sondern mit dem Hintergrund. Da man den später weniger sehen word, da dieser ja im wahrsten Sinne Nebensache bzw. Im Hintergrund abläuft.

Ich hatte das Auge nicht jedesmal neu gezeichnet, sondern 3 Ebenen benutzt. Eine Ebene für die Basis: Sprich der Rahmen des Logos (nur schwarz befüllt), Ebene Zwei waren das Auge und die Zähne, welche mit einem transparenten Hintergrund leicht zu schieben waren, nachdem ich es jedesmal abgespeichert hatte. Die Dritte Ebene xes Hintergrundes war einfach die Hintergrundfarbe ohne frame und Logo. Sodass man das Auge nicht aus dem eigentlichen Rahmen übersteht. Im Grunde die Verblendung, wenn man so will.

Den ausgewählten Charakter "Pirate of eight" hatte ich nur einmal gezeichnet, danach mit transparentem Hintergrund abgespeichert und Frame für Frame beziehungsweise Bild für Bild bewegt, abgespeichert und schlussendlich wie ein altes Flip book aneinandergereiht. Somit entsteht bei einer gewissen Geschwindigkeit der Effekt einer Bewegung oder eines Ablaufs.

Ich habe die einzelnen Bilder alle via Ibispaint kreiert. Jedoch dann in einem Gif Programm einfach eingefügt, um dieses zu erzeugen.

Für längere Abläufe benutzt ich aich gern einen Video Editor, füge dort die einzelnen Bilder ein, stelle jedes auf 1 Sekunde oder so und wandel es dann via Gif Maker um. Kommt auf den Effekt an, den ich erschaffen will, denn leichte visuelle Unterschiede kann es geben.

Spooky... Hahaha... A moster eye is watching. Wuuhuuuuu.

Now sketching out my merge of pirate of eight in a pinch of one piece look, but still my style.
