#109 Splinterlands Art - Looking at the Portrait of Elias Max Pruitt (ENG/ DE)

Hey, everyone. Thanks for stopping by my art doodle blog today. It's an honor and a pleasure to present you my fanart today.
But first I would like to briefly tell you the story of its creation.
Because actually my plan was not to create an art gif animation. No, I just wanted to play around with the perspective and various characters.
Elias Max Pruitt took a really long time to draw, so when I finished Prince Julian and the elf, I thought it was such a shame that you can't really see Elias anymore, so I thought "okay, but if the prince and the elf would move sixh towards the portrait, then you could see the portrait of Elias better. Well then, after actually finishing the fanart, I started to save the prince and the elf separately, as well as the portrait - which is the background.
Step by step, I then took new pictures in the 50s flipbook style, put them together in a gif app and sped them up a bit to create a small animation in the old style. This digital flipbook and two variants as digital drawings are my trifecta for this week's Splinterlands Art Contest.

Hey, alle zusammen. Danke, dass du heute hier auf meinem Kunst-Kritzelei-Blog vorbeischaust. Es ist mir eine Ehre und Vergnügen dir meine heutige Fanart zu präsentieren.
Aber vorab möchte ich zu dieser auch die Geschichte der Entstehung kurz erzählen.
Denn eigentlich war mein plan keineswegs eine art Gif Animation zu erstellen. Nene, ich wollte einfach mit der Perspektive und diversen Charakteren rumspielen.
Elias Max Pruitt hat echt lange gedauert zu zeichnen, als ich dann Prince Julian und den Elf fertig hatte, fand ich es soooo schade, dass man Elias nicht mehr richtig sieht, sodass ich dachte "okay, aber wenn der Prinz und der Elf sixh zum Portrait hin bewegen würden, dann könnte man das Portrait von Elias mal besser sehen. Nun dann, somit hatte ich nach der eigentlichen Fertigstellung der Fanart nochmal begonnen, den Prinzen und den Elf separat abzuspeichern, ebenso das Portrait - was ja der Hintergrund ist.Schritt für Schritt habe ich dann im 50er Jahre Daumenkino Stil neue Bilder gemacht, diese dann zusammengefügt in einer Gif App und etwas beschleunigt, sodass eine kleine Animation im alten Stil entstand. Dieses digitale Daumenkino und ein zwei Varianten als digitale Zeichnung sind mein Dreiergespannspacket für den Dieswöchigen Splinterlands Art Contest.

Aber nun die visuellen Eindrücke der Entstehung meiner Fanart.
Started with the eyes and glasses.
Working out the facial details slowly. Still sketch time.
Some shades, some grey, some shadows.
Sketching out thw other both characters.
Finally coloring and blending.
Elias was most intense to draw, I added more and more details.
I was total focused on the glass reflection. Hope it looks good.
Finally Elias looks great. Or what you think? A bit Punky. In the background his water power is visible too.

Yes, the prince is not soooo white like the original... A lovely fan thought of Eddie Murphys "Prince of Zamunda" 80th movie. Hope you like the sunkissed prince.
The little elf remind me on "Pumuckl" (I don't know if others than the DACH region now him, he is a comic kobold, goblin, in a real life serie, was fun to watch as a kiddo)

To translate some of my german native words I used deepl.com. After I edited and corrected some parts because deepl.com couldn't translate all slang words perfectly. Just wanted to make this clear too.
