Hello to all collage lovers! This time I bring you a publication that is somewhat different from what we are used to in terms of creating collages or at least, for me, it is haha The following image was created to participate in the contest #255 of Splinterlands art. To participate, we are encouraged to make any type of artistic expression, based on the card game. For my part, I am taking advantage of exploring my imagination a bit and I elaborate what comes to mind. It was like this after I saw the character of a Herbalist, who seems to be some kind of collector of different types of plants, that I had the idea of making a digital drawing in which I could use images from the lmac gallery. I remembered that there are many images available about nature and I wanted to venture to see how it would look. This was the final result:

For the elaboration of the drawing, I thought of a scene of the happy character after a long day collecting useful plants and herbs. To my surprise, I did the sketch and lineart of the character completely digitally, when normally, I usually do the sketch first in a traditional way, on a piece of paper. At first, I was just experimenting, but I really liked how it turned out and decided to continue. Once this was done, I started to set the colors. I'm not a fan of earthy colors, but I knew that once the time came to add the green tones, it would cheer me up a lot more. I also added some shadows, to enhance the drawing.

Once I had the Herbalist character fully painted, the next thing I did was search lmac's image gallery for some blades and silvers that might work for me. This part was interesting, since I edited the images so that they could fit with the scene and when finding a suitable place for them. Right from the start, I thought I'd add a few mushrooms, so I got an additional image from the gallery and multiplied it. With the brush, I made small lines on some of the plants, to mention flowers or dandelions and details on the clothes.

The creation of the background was carried out with the search for an image of a forest. I found one in the gallery that I really liked and edited the colors a bit as well as added a blur effect to keep the focus on the character. I also added a white border around it, for the same purpose and thus, I obtained my drawing of the Herbalist. The process was quite fun, so it may be that for a next participation in the contest, I will use the collage technique again.

¡Hola a todos los amantes de los collages! En ésta oportunidad les traigo una publicación algo diferente de lo que estamos acostumbrados en cuanto a la creación de collages o por lo menos, para mí, lo es jaja La siguiente imagen fue creada para participar en el concurso #255 de arte de Splinterlands. Para participar, se nos motiva a que realicemos cualquier tipo de expresión artística, basándonos en el juego de cartas. Por mi lado, estoy aprovechando de explorar un poco mi imaginación y elaboro lo que me viene a la mente. Fue así como luego de haber visto al personaje de un Herbalista, quién parece ser una especie de recolector de diferentes tipos de plantas, que tuve la idea de realizar un dibujo digital en el que pudiera utilizar imágenes de la galería lmac. Recordé que hay disponibles muchas imágenes sobre la naturaleza y quise aventurarme a ver cómo quedaba. Éste fue el resultado final:

Para la elaboración del dibujo, pensé en una escena del personaje alegre luego de una larga jornada recolectando plantas y hierbas útiles. Para mi sorpresa, hice el boceto y lineart del personaje completamente en digital, cuando normalmente, suelo elaborar el boceto primero a modo tradicional, en un pedazo de papel. Al principio, sólo estaba experimentando, pero me gustó mucho cómo me quedó y decidí continuar. Una vez hecho esto, comencé a establecer los colores. No soy fanática de los colores tierra, pero sabía que una vez llegara el momento de añadir los tonos verdes, me animaría mucho más. También agregué algo de sombras, para realzar el dibujo.

Una vez que tuve al personaje del Herbalista, completamente pintado, lo siguiente que hice fue buscar en la galería de imágenes de lmac, algunas hojas y platas que pudieran servirme. Ésta parte fue interesante, ya que edité las imágenes para que pudieran cuadrar con la escena y a la hora de hallarles un sitio adecuado. Desde el primer momento, pensé en agregar unos cuantos hongos, así que conseguí una imagen adicional de la galería y la multipliqué. Con el pincel, elaboré unas pequeñas líneas en algunas de las plantas, para hacer la mención de flores o de dientes de león y detalles en las ropas.

La creación del fondo, fue realizada con la búsqueda de una imagen de un bosque. Hallé una en la galería que me gustó mucho y le edité los colores un poco, así como agregarle un efecto de difuminación para que la atención se mantuviese enfocada en el personaje. También le agregué un borde de color blanco alrededor, con la misma finalidad y de ese modo, obtuve mi dibujo del Herbalista. Fue bastante divertido el proceso, así que puede ser que para una siguiente participación del concurso, vuelva a utilizar la técnica del collage.
