New Season Hype

It's been a while since I've last posted and a lot of changes has happened in Splinterlands since then. I've still been keeping track and I must say there is a renewed hype for me when in comes to playing the game.

I'm currently playing in the modern league and have reached Silver II. This might be lower than some but this account has very little collection power. I've been mainly relying on a max level death archon, Reklah, with a few max level death cards. If I happen to get access to the death splinter during a match, I would say I have 70 to 80% chance to win that match. This is due to the difference in mainly because of the difference in stats.
New Set Preparation

While Rebellion still has many months or even a year more in its lifespan in modern, I decided to focus my card purchase towards the Conclave Arcana set. I'm currently checking out what are the possible strategies I can work out on.

I primarily would like to focus on the Drakoshans as I really like this bloodline. There are three new Drakoshans released with the new CA reward set and I am excited to grind those out.

First, we have Withered Old Sage which is a weird name for a card. But I must say, this sage is very resilient, and resentful at that. I think this unit ups the standard for area of effect damage. It used to be Explosion, but now we have Resurgence, which not only damages all other units but resurrects Sage one time. Sure, it also affects allies but it could also trigger Painforge. But I'm not 100% about the Painforge trigger as I haven't confirmed it myself yet. What's even better is that Sage also has Spite, which lets it counterattack before dying. This means it gets to do it twice in a match because of the Resurgence.

Joraki Venshiro is another Drakoshan and this time it's on the epic rarity. It has Painforge from the get-go so it synergizes well with Withered Old Sage. Piercing is also a nice ability to have especially for range units because armor is a pain to deal with for them. All that extra damage won't go to waste with it. But what I'm really hyped about Venshiro is the Affliction. You can tuck it right in the back of your lineup and it gets to stop healing of enemy tanks which I see a ton of healers in the Conclave Arcana set.

Finally, we have Kaori Matsune which is the legendary Drakoshan. I like it for the Silence as there are also a ton of magic focused strategies right now. Immunity is also interesting especially for Poison ruleset. I would like to use it alongside Ujurak Brave for maximum magic hate.
So those are my initial thoughts and hype regarding these new changes in Splinterlands. There's been continuous positive updates ever since the release of Conclave Arcana and I'm looking forward for more in the future.
