Back to Splinterlands (and back to Hive) (EN/ES)

Hello Hive community!

I originally discovered this ecosystem years ago through Splinterlands, and after a long break (I haven’t played since Chaos Legion launched), I’ve decided to jump back in. I’ve never posted before, but I’ve been a silent reader around the network for a long time—and now I want to start contributing.

• Why I’m posting now

I’d like to document my return to the game and share the perspective of a player coming back after years. If these posts generate any rewards, my plan is simple: reinvest everything into my future collection and keep building from there.

• First steps: Campaign (Chapter 1)

The first thing I did was complete Chapter 1 of the campaign, which gave me several cards to start playing again. Since I already knew the mechanics as a veteran player, I didn’t spend too much time here—I just cleared it quickly to unlock some playable options.

• Ranked grind: Frontier + daily missions

After that, I jumped into Ranked (Frontier format) and focused on completing the 3 daily missions (15 wins). These were the rewards I got:

• Reached Bronze II + 5 chests

With those wins, I climbed up to Bronze II, and I received 5 chests.

• What should I focus on next?

If you’re reading this and have advice, any help is appreciated—I’m catching up after a long break.

For now, my plan is to focus on:

• Consistency: complete daily focus/quests and keep improving win rate.

• Learning the current meta: pay attention to common rulesets and lineups in Frontier.

• Smart reinvestment: use rewards to strengthen a small core of cards/summoners that helps me climb leagues.

• Review my losses: note which matchups/rulesets I struggle with and adjust.

This post is basically a proof of concept—getting comfortable posting and sharing progress. Over time I’ll improve the format, add more details, and make the content more useful. For now: I’m back, I’m playing again, and I’m going to keep documenting the journey.

Conocí este ecosistema hace años gracias a Splinterlands y, después de una pausa larga (no jugaba desde el lanzamiento de Chaos Legion), he decidido volver. Nunca me había animado a publicar nada, pero llevo mucho tiempo siendo un lector silencioso por aquí… y ahora me apetece empezar a aportar.

• ¿Por qué ahora?

Quiero documentar mi vuelta al juego y aportar la perspectiva de un jugador que regresa después de muchos años. Además, cualquier recompensa que obtenga con estos posts mi idea es reinvertirla en mi futura colección para ir creciendo poco a poco.

• Primer paso: Campaña (Capítulo 1)

Lo primero que hice fue completar el primer capítulo del modo campaña, que me dio varias cartas para poder empezar a jugar. Como ya era un jugador veterano y conocía las mecánicas, no le di mucha importancia y lo hice rápido para desbloquear lo básico.

Ranked: Frontier + misiones diarias

Después me fui a Ranked (modo Frontier) y me centré en completar las 3 misiones diarias (15 victorias). Estos fueron los premios:

Con estas victorias llegué hasta Bronze II y me dieron 5 cajas.

• ¿En qué debería enfocarme ahora?

Si alguien lee esto y tiene recomendaciones, ¡cualquier ayuda se agradece! Estoy poniéndome al día después de bastante tiempo fuera.

De momento, mi enfoque será:

• Constancia: completar misiones diarias y mejorar poco a poco el winrate.

• Aprender el meta actual: fijarme en reglas y alineaciones más comunes en Frontier.

• Reinvertir con cabeza: usar recompensas para fortalecer un núcleo pequeño de cartas/summoners que me ayude a subir ligas.

• Revisar derrotas: detectar en qué reglas/enfrentamientos fallo más y ajustar.

Esto es una prueba de concepto para empezar a publicar y compartir progreso. Con el tiempo iré mejorando el contenido, añadiendo más detalle y haciéndolo más útil. De momento: he vuelto, estoy jugando otra vez y seguiré documentando la vuelta.
