Battle Analysis and Tips:
- I used martyr in front just to get killed and get +1 stats on adjacent monster which sometimes is good play.
- Choose your summoner wisely. Some summoners have abilities that can be particularly useful in the Going the Distance ruleset. For example, Quix the Devious can reduce the enemy's ranged attack damage, while Yodin Zaku can increase your ranged attack damage.
- Consider the order of your monsters. In the Going the Distance ruleset, monsters with ranged attack cannot attack from the first position. So, you'll need to make sure that you place your monsters in the right order so that they can all attack.
- Use monsters with abilities that can help you control the battlefield. There are a number of monsters with abilities that can help you control the battlefield in the Going the Distance ruleset. For example, Amuletic Eye can blind enemies, preventing them from attacking.
Here are some specific cards that can be useful in the Going the Distance ruleset:
- Quix the Devious (Summoner) - Reduces the enemy's ranged attack damage by 1.
- Yodin Zaku (Summoner) - Increases your ranged attack damage by 1 with blast.
- Ilthain (Summoner) - Counters opponents range attack with return fire and +1 speed.
- Lir Deepswimmer (Summoner) - Counters opponents range attack with return fire and blind.
- Fernheart (Summoner) - Gives close range ability to ranged monster.
- Warchang (Monster) - Has melee and range attack which can be used in this ruleset.
- Drybone raider (Monster) - Has melee and range attack which can be used in this ruleset.
