Trump's attitude smells like blackmail, but Europe has also spent a lot on this and does not seem to be asking for the same sort of deals. It's not going to be viable to mine there with ongoing conflict and Putin seems intent on victory, whatever the cost. We have a few Ukrainians on Hive who will have opinions on this.

I think Trump's thinking Putin is going to back off now just because the US has commercial interests in Ukraine, reality is there is little chance of that I think!

Any confrontation between US and Russia could be bad. Have to hope these people have some sense, but Trump surrounds himself with sycophants, not experts. Putin rules by fear.
