My Weekly Status in Rising Star - LI
Greetings, everyone!
Next week I will celebrate one year from the invest in the STARTBITS Millionaire card, and I'm so happy with this decision. For some weeks I stopped publishing weekly reports of my Rising Star account, but I continued to play and to develop my strategy. And here comes a new update from me... I hope you will get some inspiration from it.
My status as today:
- Current Rank: 114
- Unique Cards: 454, Total Cards: 3368, Total IM: 2261, Weekly Minutes: 5955
- Total Score: 7328
Last week I continued with my old strategy: I bought two times the twelve pack, I saved 50,864 STARTBITS. This level of savings gives me another leverage to further improve my position in the game.
Today, the value of my cards is 3369.832 SWAP.HIVE, meaning that it takes an invest of 0.4598 HIVE for each scoring point, or 11018 STARBITS per point at the current exchange rate.
My Special Quest starting this week: can I maybe find cards on the open market bellow this threshold?
Quick recap of the scoring formula: each card gives you 0.3 points, plus 0.4 points for each unique card, and an extra 0.2 points for each IM score of the card.
Let's see what options we have for this special quest:
Common cards have typically IM = 0, and I have already all of them in my collection. Therefore, every common card trading bellow 3305.4 STARBITS is a win. The new cards are trading bellow this level, but it's boring to have so little diversity...
On the other hand, each rare card missing from my collection would bring me 1.5 points if it comes with IM = 4. Searching the market for options, and jackpot! I found the R8 Lead Guitarist and I bought it for 13200 STARBITS:

After buying the R8 Lead Guitarist, I've sold the extra 37664 STARBITS, and added 1.5713 HIVE to my savings account.
See you next week with another update.
Till then, wish you great fun!

I am not sure it works out exactly like that but I have never really tried because it could also be in proportion to the total amount of cards/IM. Did you test this out yourself?

Hmm... it looks there's some normalization factored in, from 100 random accounts. But still, this normalization applies to everyone else. To run experiments is also not meaningful, as everyday you might get in different averages from the random accounts.
From FAQ:

If it's 100 accounts then it might get skewed quite a bit and it will be pretty random. However, I guess that number should average at some point and go up over time. It's too hard since all we know is our values and not the multiplier.
