My Survival Mode Battle Strategy
No matter how big or small the change is changes in a game are good as it keeps things fresh and people engaged or coming back to check out those new changes. One of the more recent ones is a new battle mode called survival mode and today I want to talk a bit about my battle strategy.
Giving A Little Time
Being that this is the first season of it everyone started at the very bottom I of course wanted to hammer out a few games early and see what it was all about. However because everyone under the sun was in here at the start of the season at low rank it ended up causing me to lose around 7 battles in a row in which I gave up for a few days and decided I would return.
Now that I have and I still have some of my best cards in play it was time to go into action. Of my 8,226 active cards 16 of them have been taken out which isn't all that bad. That's still plenty of cards to play with.
With a little over 6 days left I've now decided to play a few more battles way back here in WOOD and see how it goes.
Battle 1
With just 13 mana I had to try to play this one smart. I put down one of my most powerful melee summoners and got to work building out the battle plan. Being that we were low mana I focused on some lower end mana card costs with a heal in the front to try and outlast but still dish out some decent damage while at it.
This was the lineup...
Now the person I was versing @mondroid had a rather good line up. With some protection up front but some good sneak on the backend this did cause me to lose one of my cards. But ended up coming out on top with +20 wood survival points and 0.007 SPS a low amount of SPS but still something being that we are all the way back in last pretty much. GG Mondroid
Battle 2
Battle two was the complete opposite with 42 mana and I could tell this person was going to pack a bit of a punch being that they had 10.7 million power and a runi!
@warrentrx brought some good power to the table however many of their cards ended up being ones that didn't do any damage not sure if it was them getting towards the end of their active cards or not.
So far this waiting period has paid off as we landed two wins. Now I'm sure next season might change up a bit more as it feels a bit weird that you can just wait until the end of the season to dish out your battles because most peoples cards are used up. Next season I believe we will start in higher tiers etc based on our tiers this season like we do with Modern and Wild formats which will change up the strategy for sure as the competition heats up.
