Hello, I am sprstoner, and this is my validator announcement.

Introduction

My friends call me stoner or Shawn, I am 45 years old, married to the girl I met when I was 16 and she was 15, we have 3 daughters between the ages of 8 and 17, and we live in Vegas.

sprstoner has been my online name since I was 16. It does come with a story, Maybe not interesting enough to tell at this point... but I did earn it.

I have been around Splinterlands for a while now, not as long as some others, but I am well invested in this game and quite excited for the future.

A Little About Me

I grew up in the flooring business, started off as an installer and ended up with a small company that I gave to a ~friend around 2008, was not a good time for a home improvement business. Aiding in that decision was the fact that around that time I also started playing poker professionally and continued to do so until about 2012.

I actually learned a lot from playing cards, stuff I used still today in my current business, an e-commerce flooring company. I do not really have time for cards nowadays, but I do occasionally jump into an event.

Anyways, you cannot get lucky, if you never give yourself the chance.

My Node

So, I wanted to run my own node and rent a server from a company not widely used. It is in New Jersey and currently:

Storage: 200 GB Memory: 10240 MB Transfer: 10000 Gb CPU: 5

This can be upgraded at any time if needed.

A quick explanation on the missed blocks, I was confused on how to setup the API, ChatGPT gave me bad instructions and I started over from scratch, it was late so I was going to do it a different day, and I forgot to make the node inactive.
