Wood Nymph - Splinterlands Fan Art

Now that I've change my expression in art, I've decided to make the best in pixelation. A 100×100 pixel art that could definitely change the ambience of @splinterlands community. This art is produced using Pixelart app. I want to give a new taste and Wood Nymph has been selected for an earthy and watery art!

The Card Used as Inspiration and Reference

A peculiar new bud appeared at the tips of the highest branches of the Elder Tree. The animals living in the tree watched as the strange buds grew, and in a matter of days, burst open. From each bud zoomed forth a tiny sprite. These Wood Nymphs quickly scattered around Anumün in a frenzy of mischief.

The Process

All Steps in 3 Phases

Phase 1

In this part I just make a rough sketch. But I started to put three circles to be my guide. It's all about pixel art so everything is done using tiny blocks. It's also the initiation of coloring the body and hair.

Phase 2

The smooth coloring was applied here. Then adding some attributes that are not seen in the first sketch. I started to make some changes of color for the other duplicated frames to give some twinkling effects.

Phase 3

The exciting part starts here. To give an animated effect there should be changes for each frame to create movements. The waves are changed every frame. The emphasis was given through lifted hands with a vines effect because Wood Nymph is from the earth element. It has water because that is the significance of growing the power that she posses.

The final GIF is the compilation of all frames. It makes the art into a moving image. The art is pretty amazing!
