First steps in setting up my NFT collection on NFT Showroom

avatar

Although I was kind of early into the NFT game, I'm also kind of late at the same time, as after my first adventures minting pieces I didn't put much attention to it the last few years.

I blame it on my struggles with everything ETH-based, and lately, when new NFT opportunities showing up, being involved with IRL stuff that take up so much time - like my studies, my health, and basically investing in the best version of myself.

Can't put a price on your own health in ANY coin by the way.

TADA! NFT Showroom

Old news ofcourse, everyone knows about @nftshowroom, but still, I have been browsing the gallery for a few times now and never really started buying. I've always been powered up so there was never much HIVE to buy with, but the last few weeks I started a power down so I could be more liquid for many reasons: selling the ATH so I can buy the dip in 2022, making sure I can take advantage of many @splinterlands opportunities arising, stuff like that.

Suddenly I found myself browsing super cool artworks AND holding liquid HIVE in my pocket...

I had my eyes on a few recent pieces, but made a point of buying one first: @juliakponsford's pretty face as she's sort of the mother of everything NFT on Hive, so she should be my 'first'.

She still has more for sale, don't miss out!

Then I bought two others that immediately grabbed my attention:

And last but not least

...My second one by @eve66, I think it's epic:

Well, that was fun and SO SO easy to do. After dealing with some stuff on ETH the last few days I'm almost crying my eyes out, out of frustration with the 100s of dollars of fees I have to pay, but this? I bought, I bought, and I put one up for sale again, and it didn't cost me more than just the price of the art itself.

That's how it should be.

Have you tried buying from a few artists on @nftshowroom yet?

I tried selling my works but so far I was only able to sell one piece.

I agree with you 1000% about how nice it is to use an NFT marketplace that doesn't have crazy fees. On ETH there is so much worrying about the gas fees and racing against time to try and get into popular projects... NFT showroom is more of an experience of actually browsing art and having fun trading NFTs.

I currently have a transaction pending on eth... And since it is already taking 1,5 days to go through I want to cancel it. Transaction of 23$, to cancel it: 100$ :')

CRAZY!

So yeah, give me @nftshowroom instead! :D

i was thinking of doing something on eth part of NFT for a while but i just can't. i would rather give that gas money to an artist on NFTShowroom.
I do understand that there is a lot of money on eth going around, but i don't understand how people are just happy to pay all that gas fees.

been on the both sides of the market on nftshowroom. sold some, bought some. nothing crazy :D

Very cool! It´s also good to hear your explanation and see it from the view of a buyer. This encourages an artists to keep on going ♥

You definitely should keep going @patschwork! I've always enjoyed your work, it's very original. Yours was bought after this post, but I'll make an updated post once I bought a bit more! :-)

Still a mystery how the NFT showroom on HIVE hasnt been found for real art versus pixel bonanza and way too many fees somewhere else..

One day....and agree you need some liquid hive for the hussle and bussle to me able to make impulsive moves which wont hurt!

Yes, currently there are so many opportunities that I find it hard to keep powered up! I'm hoping to sell a bit for other opportunities and buy back as well, just have to keep an eye on the market I guess :-)

Hiya, Rosanne :) I admit to being baffled and intrigued by NFT art!

A while back, I was in talks with a psychedelic artist to collaborate together -- my poetry, his art -- and that fell through. But, if you might be interested, happy to share more one-liners with you like these.
