Today I return to this wonderful Alien Art community to share with you my latest fan art from the Splinterlands universe—a piece full of ice magic, but made with the warmth of learning something new. Unlike my recent drawings, this time I took the initiative to draw more for the joy of it than for a polished and detailed result. The outcome is this fan art I’m sharing today, filled with different techniques, clashing styles, and a touch of magic. I’d love for you to join me in the creation process and enjoy it with me. Hola amigos, amantes del arte y de los videojuegos, espero que estén teniendo un muy muy lindo día. Hoy regreso a esta maravillosa comunidad de Alien Art para compartir con ustedes mi último fan art del universo de Splinterlands, un fan art lleno de magia de hielo pero hecho con el calor de aprender algo nuevo, ya que a diferencia de mis últimos dibujos tomé la iniciativa de dibujar más por placer que por tener un resultado pulido y detallado. El resultado es este fan art que hoy les comparto, lleno de técnicas distintas, estilos chocantes y un poco de magia. The character we’ll be drawing today is none other than the small but powerful Ice Pixie, who is not only a rare creature but also strong and rich in lore. For my drawing, I took elements from the original card design—from the character’s clothing and hair to the ice bursting from her hands. I decided to place her on top of an ice floe inside a snowy cave, gazing at her reflection in the ice, surrounded by a soft and luminous atmosphere to create a unique mood.

El personaje que hoy dibujaremos no será otro que la pequeña pero poderosa Ice Pixie, que no solo es una criatura rara, también fuerte y con un amplio lore. Para mi dibujo tomé elementos del diseño original de la carta, desde la ropa y el cabello del personaje hasta el hielo que sale despedido de sus manos. Decidí dibujarla encima de un témpano de hielo que se encuentra en una cueva nevada, viendo su reflejo en el hielo, en un ambiente suave y lleno de luz, para crear una propia atmósfera.

One very interesting detail from the lore of this card in the Splinterlands universe is that it’s a rare creature from the water faction. Ice Pixies are beings that have been frozen for many lifetimes, patiently waiting for the warmest season to escape their icy confinement and come out to play.

Algo muy interesante del lore de esta carta en el universo de Splinterlands es que es muy rara y de facción de agua. Además, las Ice Pixie son criaturas que han estado congeladas durante muchas vidas, y esperan apaciblemente la temporada más cálida para poder escapar de su encierro y salir a jugar.

I’ll be creating my drawing entirely in Photoshop, using a wide variety of brushes and textures. I also want to make it in a chibi style to keep practicing this approach, while adding my own elements and things I enjoy—and above all, exploring a lot.

Estaré haciendo mi dibujo completamente en Photoshop, usando gran variedad de pinceles y texturas. Además, quiero hacerla en un estilo chibi para seguir practicando este estilo, pero agregando mis propios elementos y cosas que me gustan y, sobre todo, explorando mucho mucho.

As always, I started with the base of a chibi, which is made using three circles—always keeping the head circle larger so the character looks more childlike and cute.

Comencé como siempre con la base de un chibi, que se hace con tres círculos, dejando siempre el círculo de la cabeza más grande para que luzca más infantil y bonito el personaje.

Little by little I added details to the chibi base until I felt happy with the result. When everything was ready, I did the line art, but I wasn’t convinced by the thickness of the lines—so I went all the way back, undid everything, and used a different line weight for my strokes.

Poco a poco fui agregando detalles a la base de chibi hasta que estuve alegre con el resultado. Cuando tenía todo listo hice el line art, pero no me convencía el grosor de la línea, así que fui completamente atrás, deshice todo y listo: utilicé otro grosor para mi trazo.

Now that the line art is ready, I’ll start coloring section by section, element by element. I’ll use shadows to create some volume, and once the coloring was complete, I worked on the background using many textures and effect brushes. As always, I’ll be sharing the full drawing process in a GIF animation—from the sketch to the final result—so we can better understand the entire illustration journey.

Ahora sí, con el line art listo, comenzaré a colorear por parte, por elemento. Utilizaré sombras para crear algunos volúmenes, y cuando tuve todo el coloreado trabajé en el fondo con muchas texturas y pinceles de efecto. Como siempre, les compartiré el proceso de dibujo al completo en una animación en formato GIF, desde el boceto hasta el resultado final, así podremos entender mejor todo el proceso de dibujo.

Without a doubt, I really enjoyed making this drawing. Even though it’s far from being one of my best, it allowed me to experiment with color, lighting effects, and crystal rendering—which I definitely need to study more. Ice Pixie is also a character I really like, and I think she’ll become one of those recurring figures in my illustrations. I can even imagine a battle with the other Pixies from the Splinterlands universe. Well friends, for now let me share once again the final result of this fan art.

Sin dudas disfruté mucho realizar este dibujo, y aunque no es ni de cerca uno de mis mejores, sí me permitió experimentar con el color, los efectos de luces y también con el cristal, al que tengo que dedicarle más tiempo de aprendizaje. Además, Ice Pixie es un personaje que me gusta mucho y creo que se volverá de esos personajes recurrentes en mis ilustraciones. Me imagino quizá una batalla con las demás Pixies del universo de Splinterlands. Bueno amigos, por ahora permítanme compartir nuevamente el resultado final de este fan art.
