My vision for CryptoCompany CEO - a look into the future of web3 gaming

Some of you might know that I am deeply involved with several projects on HIVE. One of them is @cryptocompany by @powerpaul. Unfortunately in the past few weeks as the project should actually ramp up I had less and less time to get involved with all the things around a project like this. There are so many things to do and we are a small team that also has to handle real life strugles such as earning rent and food money. Building in the mids of a bear market reuires oatience not only from us but rfom those who invested in our project.

Disclaimer: although I am part of the project this is not an official announcement of any kind. I just want you to see my points of view and what in my opinion could happen to a game like CryptoCompany CEO. These are just my thoughts about the project.

web3 gaming on HIVE with a potential to onboard thousands of new users

Login with Hive keychain? Check!

Imagine not being on hive and you want to play the game. You will have 2 options to cretae a hive account. Afterwards you can create your own character and individualize its appearance. Here we already can implement a ton of web3 features such as wearable NFTs and items you could equip. These can be also wearables promoting certain projects on hive or anywhere in the crypto space.

When you are done with this you will start the game at the main spawn point in front of HiQ tower in the financial district of Taka Token Island.
A car is already standing ready for you. (This is also probably subject to change)
Depending on what car NFTs you hold you can see different types here (not yet implemented!)

Back to reality.

CryptoCompany CEO is almost singlehandedly built by Paul and that of course has its limitations. One person only can dedicate a certain amount of time to a project. That is what I have tried to make easier for Paul. I have been trying to establish contacts and possible partnerships so Paul gets the help he needs to finish the first release of a Beta version.

Now it seems that we are quite close to releasing the first minigame(s) and soon we will see a bunch of action happening on Taka Token Island. And yes the game is behind on schedule and yes we still have not released our marketplace and pack opening mechanincs. Rest assured it is not forgotten. Implemeting 1000s of NFTs into the game will take us a while until we have it up and running. (3d assets have to be built and cards for NFTs have to be designed) All this requires more time than we have anticipated and therefore it will take longer to have all what we promised to our players ready to go.

The wait will be not forever and we will not go anywhere. We simply want to have the best possible experience for our players and if the price for that is being late on our original plans that price is absolutely worth it.

I can not and will not make any promises when we will be fully up and running and this post does not concentrate on our current tasks and probblems but rather on what I see in the possible future of the game.

An early build where you still could easily drive up the Dollar Drive. Now this will be much harder but also much more fun.

The potential behind CryptoCompany CEO is immense!

CryptoCompany CEO of course first and foremost is a game. A game that can have several layers. Again this is only my imagination going wild and nothing I write about here should be taken for granted. Probably a lot of the things I am mentioning in the following paragraphs will not make it or only partially make it into the game.

The possibilities are quite exciting to think about. We have a tropical Island where players can race with cars (This is already functional and most screenshots I am showing in this post are from our latest game build). The players could also race with planes and other cool vehicles such as motorboats or even tanks.

There are many ways to implement new and new game modes and experiences. Minigames, a storyline for the Crypto Company part of the game, where you start as an intern and then build your way up to managing your own media empire on Taka Token Island.

But this is only a slice of what you as a player can do in game.

The main aspect is that this is a multiplayer game tied to HIVE and you can meet other HIVE users in game. This is also the big thing that makes our game world for existing communities. Imagine the THGgaming guild having a monthly meeting and it is not happening on discord but in our game in a virtual world where each user is named after their HIVE account and everyone has an avatar they can design to their liking. Having a concert or a record release on an open live stage on the Island? Why not? And this is the best part of the potentials of this game.

Existing communities will be able to have a virtual gathering space. But not only communities will be able to do that. If you want a virtual meetup space for your fans as an artist you could go to Taka Token Island and meet your fans in a virtual space. The possibilities are basically endless. Imagine a meetup like the virtual hivefest 2 years ago! What if we can bring together several projects to have a life talk in the HiQ tower on Taka Token Island?

How about a virtual storefront for your own NFT project? How about your own bar?

As said the possibilities I see for this game are endless, we just need to jump through the hoops we have now in front of us.

What if you do not want to play any games? You could still have advertisement for your own project placed in the game!

Of course the social media aspect of the game shall not be forgotten!
We want to be an onboarder to the HIVE ecosystem. You will not be able to play the game without a HIVE account. We want to bring the use of the HIVE blockchain closer to the regular old normies.

For this hopefully the in game terminals will be a good tool. (There is already functioning terminals in the game but they are not connected to the chain yet)
Once we have implemented it it will be possible to create posts on HIVE directly from an in game terminal without having to leave the game! Players will be able to post their progress in game and show off their coolest in game moments. This will not only drive value to the game but also to each of the players who create content from within the game.

Utility for other projects. Many communities have tokens we could provide utility for. How about having an area in game where you can purchase goods with your projects token? How about giving out your community token in reward chests and loot locations? What if the prices of a competition are paid out with your community token?

I could go on and on with spinning ideas since there is so many things that could be done! The only thing that is needed to get all this and much more into the game is that Paul stays motivated and gets the support from our community so he can concentrate on building this amazing world.

I am not publishing any timeframes here because I don't know when we are done. Patience is key in this bear market and we keep on building.
