A newcomer first impressions from "Splinterlands"

What's up gamers 😎?

Today begins my adventure in the world of games within the web3, it was time for me to give them a try since it is not possible that being a gamer and having this possibility I had not tried it yet. My goal in this post will be to show how the experience is for a new user when entering in this case to "Splinterlands" which is the most popular, so if you are interested keep reading below 🙏🏻😁.

How did I find it? 🧐

For a long time I shared a vision with a friend to find ways to earn money on the internet as a necessity to pay for the same connection 😅 as a certain autonomy while we studied. We tried a lot of things, from the famous Telegram "airdrops" to apps that promised to pay you for "breathing" 😂 maybe I went a little too far but that's how it felt, everything until a few years ago I started trying in the world of games because I love playing. I tried a few with results like Epic Ballad, Axie Infinity and Pixels.

That story was paused but after joining Hive and exploring its entire ecosystem I realized that it also had its games section with its own tokens, something that caught my attention and I set out to try from the beginning but I gave it a lot of thought and ended up focusing on other things, until now 😅, this if it's time for that, I think it took me quite a while to decide but it also means that I'm going to prepare better for it.

First impressions 👨🏻‍💻

Well the first thing I can tell you is that the game is well known inside and outside the web3 since since I joined Hive I saw a lot of content like drawings, fanarts, crafts and others within various communities besides that its art is not bad at all so I see that the game has a lot of support by users and developers. More technically speaking, it is a "card game" or "deck" type in which our deck will be the protagonist. In my case I grew up playing Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic and I also tried others of the genre like Clash Royale and the mythical Slay the Spire so I have experience with games of this style, of course this only helps me a little since I'm sure that no experience is similar to the others 😅, I'm going to enter Splinterlands not in diapers but crawling like a baby.

Game is an investment 🎮💵

Beware, it is important to mention that in this world of tokens and nfts many assets also move, and as in others you can make purchases to improve your deck and shape it as you wish, but that does not ensure that you will not lose, so it is also vital that you know that there are risks, as in any investment, so I recommend that you study well and look for information, references and support in the community so that your experience is not bad.

Beginning of the adventure 🃏

From what I read there is an initial fee that we have to pay to start playing as such, just like in real life I had to pay to get my first decks, but of course; how are we going to buy some cards to play a game that we don't know and we don't know much about? Well it's time to do the homework and research 🧐 but for that the same game prepares us a tutorial, a mini campaign that prepares us for reality before we decide to invest, and that's just where I'm going to go.

Buuuuut 😅 it's not going to be now, I'm going to stop because I really want to do it on video, that you feel 100% the reaction of a new user coming to your game and see how it goes, fingers crossed.

Qué hay gamers 👊🏻😎?

Hoy comienza mi aventura en el mundo de los juegos dentro de la web3, ya era tiempo de que les diera una probada ya que no es posible que siendo gamer y teniendo esta posibilidad no lo hubiera intentado aún. Mi objetivo en este post será mostrar cómo es la experiencia para un nuevo usuario al entrar en este caso a "Splinterlands" que es el más popular, así que si te interesa sigue leyendo a continuación 🙏🏻😁.

¿Cómo lo encontré?

Desde hace mucho tiempo compartía una visión con una amiga para encontrar formas de ganar dinero en internet como necesidad para pagar la misma conexión 😅 como una cierta autonomía mientras estudiábamos. Probamos muchísimas cosas, desde los famosos "airdrops" de Telegram hasta apps que prometían pagarte por "respirar" 😂 quizá me pasé un poco pero así se sentía, todo hasta que hace unos años comencé a probar en el mundo de los juegos ya que me encanta jugar. Probé unos pocos con resultados como Epic Ballad, Axie Infinity y Pixels.

Esa historia quedó en pausa pero luego de unirme a Hive y explorar todo su ecosistema me di cuenta de que contaba también con su sección de juegos con sus propios tokens, algo que me llamó la atención y me propuse probar desde un inicio pero le di muchas vueltas y terminé enfocándome en otras cosas, hasta ahora 😅, este si es el momento para eso, creo que me tomó bastante tiempo decidirme pero también significa que voy a prepararme mejor para ello.

Primeras impresiones de Splinterlands

Bueno lo primero que puedo decirles es que el juego es bien conocido dentro y fuera de la web3 ya que desde que me uní a Hive vi mucho contenido tipo dibujos, fanarts, manualidades y otras dentro de varias comunidades además de que su arte no está nada mal por lo que veo que el juego tiene bastante soporte por los usuarios y desarrolladores. Ya hablando más técnicamente es un "juego de cartas" o del tipo de "mazo" en el que nuestra baraja será la protagonista. En mi caso crecí jugando Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic y también probé otros del género como Clash Royale y el mítico Slay the Spire por lo que tengo experiencia con los juegos de este estilo, claro que esto solo me ayuda un poco ya que estoy seguro de que ninguna experiencia es similar a las demás 😅, voy a entrar a Splinterlands no en pañales pero si gateando como bebé.

El juego es una inversión 🎮💵

Ojo, es importante mencionar que en este mundo de tokens y nfts también se mueven muchos activos, y al igual que en otros puedes hacer compras para mejorar tu mazo y moldearlo como desees, pero eso no te asegura que no vayas a perder, por lo que también es vital que conozcan que hay riesgos, como en cualquier inversión, por lo que les recomiendo que estudien bien y busquen información, referencias y apoyo en la comunidad para que su experiencia no sea mala.

El inicio de la aventura 🃏

Por lo que leí hay una cuota inicial que debemos de pagar para comenzar a jugar como tal, justo como en la vida real me tocó pagar para conseguir mis primeras barajas, pero claro; ¿cómo vamos a comprar unas cartas para jugar un juego que no conocemos y del que no sabemos mucho? Bueno toca hacer la tarea e investigar 🧐 pero para ello el mismo juego nos prepara un tutorial, una mini campaña que nos prepara para la realidad antes de que decidamos invertir, y es justo a dónde voy a ir.
