Bellowmancer Review: The Ultimate Wall for Any Team
Bellowmancer is one of the most extreme frontline tanks in the game right now. With 10 armor and 9 health at max level, he’s not just built to take hits. He’s meant to be focused by everyone and still stay standing. He doesn’t do much damage himself, but he creates space for your team to breathe.
Lore
Among the ulund, bellowmancers are warrior-mages who shape sound into strength, channeling magic through their earth-shaking roars. Mokaya Kulwe is one of them. Just… louder.
She doesn’t chant. She doesn’t blow a horn. There’s no polite announcement of war. No “You killed my sire, prepare to die.” She opens her maw impossibly wide and unleashes a raw, deafening roar that sounds like the thunder of a hundred thousand siege engines.

Stats
Bellowmancer is a pure tank designed to absorb everything thrown at him. With Taunt, Shield, Void Armor, and Reveal, he exposes hidden threats allowing them to be targetted by your team. Bellowmancer also soaks all attacks keeping your team alive. That high health and armor makes him able to take all attacks whether it's melee, range or magic.

Good Rules to Consider
Icon | Name | Reason |
---|---|---|
![]() | Born Again | All units have Rebirth (self-resurrects once per battle with 1 health and 100% of armor; all magic debuffs are removed, and all magic buffs are reapplied; skips turn). |
This gives you a secondary unit with taunt because once reborned, Bellowmancer gets full armor which works really well with Void Armor. | ||
![]() | Target Practice | All units with magic and ranged attacks have Snipe (magic and ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position). |
Taunt pulls all Snipe and ranged/magic focus to him, keeping your backline safe. On the other hand, your units have free Snipe that works properly. | ||
![]() | Armored Up | All Units have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. |
Since your Bellowmancer have Void Armor, this works well with this rule. His magic attack also passes through armor which means the rule does not affect Bellowmancer in a negative way. |
Bad Rules to Think Twice
Icon | Name | Reason |
---|---|---|
![]() | Ferocity | All units have Fury (deals double damage if the target has Taunt). |
Any units with Taunt abilities are bad with Ferocity where it gets two times the damage from any units attacking it. It technically removes the effect of Shield that halves the melee and range attacks. | ||
![]() | Noxious Fumes | All Units start the battle Poisoned. |
This rule is bad for Bellowmancer because high armor and high health doesn’t help when you're constantly getting damaged each round by poison, and without Immunity or Heal, he can’t outlast poison. | ||
![]() | Unprotected | Units do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs. |
This rule removes the armor on all units which makes Void Armor unusable. A removal of 10 armor to any unit is a really bad thing especially on a unit where all enemies will be attacking him due to Taunt. |
Battle
Since my Bellowmancer absorbed all of the Snipe attacks from my enemies due to his Taunt and high health, I gain an absolute advantage in the back line battles. This is furthermore enhanced with Nidhoggr's Blast ability creating another layer of advantage for me.
In this battle, used a lot of units with magic attack as usual because these units are really strong. I usually have Halfling Refugee as my main tank in these games because of its high health and low mana, then with Bellowmancer for added protection. Chaos Adjutant is good when combined with Blast from Nidhoggr because of its Scattershot. Gramel the Hunger is my main attacker with three different attacks each providing its own Blast attacks and lastly, Ujurak Elder for the added magic attack.
