Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge: River Nymph
(Edited)

Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: RARE
Element: WATER
Attack: MAGIC
Abilities: Cleanse, Amplify, Swiftness
This is one of my favorite cards for battles in the mid 20s mana range.
Battle Rules:
- Armor up (+2 Armor)
- 24 Mana
With "Armor Up", it is likely the opponent may go magic, I need a tank that reduces magic damage

Position #1: Tank - Xenith Monk

- Void negates 1 magic damage
- Magic Reflect returns half of the magic damage, and benefits from River Nymph's Amplify
- Heal for longevity
Position #2: Pelacor Bandit

- This is one of the best cards for the Water Splinter
- Sneak to attack the opponent from behind bypassing the tank
- Flying increases chance to evade physical attacks
- 6 Speed attacks first lowers the chance of getting hit, great as the secondary tank
- This card is also the insurance policy to deal with anti-magic line up, which is what I will be using the most this battle
Position #3: Ice Pixie

- Shatter to negate "Armor Up"
- Only 2 mana for 2 magic damage!
- Flying and 5 speed, great for tanking after my frontline gets destroyed
Position #4: River Nymph

- Amplify the Magic Reflect of Xenith Monk by 1 damage
- Swiftness to increase the speed for attack order and hit/miss chance
Position #5: Angelic Mandarin

- Triage to heal the back-line (which is Angelic Mandarin itself)
- Silence to reduce opponent's magic attack by 1, in the event the opponent thinks the same and use a magic heavy line up
- 7 health, 2 ranged, and 4 speed is very good for a 3 mana cost card
Position #6: Doctor Blight

- This is one of the most overpowered card, especially in the Diamond/Champion league
- With Camouflage, it sits hidden in the very back damaging and poisoning the opponent without getting targeted
- While accumulating health from the Scavenger ability, until the last doctor standing
- With Weaken, it is a free and immediate 6 health reduction to the opponent
Conclusion:

- It turned out the opponent uses Baakjira and Merdaali Guardian combo, huge HP pool with Tank Heal and negated my magic damage
- Pelacor Bandit and Angelic Mandarin are the MVPs. My back tank outlasted the opponent's back lane
- Victory is well within grasp after Pelacor Bandit took out Merdaali Guardian
- Doctor Blight's Affliction have stopped Baakjira's self Heal, but not Merdaali Guardian's Tank Heal

I like to sprinterland daily. I am using this card in my game. This card have many benefits. Thanks for sharing this amazing and informative Knowledge.
Your battle is awesome. Almost all your cards are upgraded. At level 8, the river nymph would have proved to be very effective. Along with the Cleanse ability, I also like the Amplify ability very much. Thanks for sharing.
