WOO - My Take on Austin Theory's WWE Journey
Hi there everyone and welcome back to Wrestling Organization Online, WOO.
I’ve recently given a lot of thought to Austin Theory and his stay at WWE.
You know, when he just entered the industry, many people said that he could be the next John Cena. That’s serious stuff!
But now things seem a bit different. It seems like Theory’s momentum has actually slowed down somehow.
Of course, he had some significant moments like winning the US title and money in the bank contract but now he is not even in WrestleMania XL card of 2014. Isn’t it something important?
When Theory made his debut on the main roster, I remember thinking “This guy is going places.” He looks impressive; has great charisma as well as a wealth of in-ring skills that can take him very far indeed.
But then again, it was almost like WWE went cold on him just like that. And I always wonder why.
I’ve watched some interviews where wrestlers discuss Theory as being “the next big thing.” They say it’s not like he appeared from nowhere, rather that he has been doing some work for a while. Guess what?
I totally believe this. You don’t simply fall into WWE without working extremely hard for it.
Now, there can be such a situation when Theory cuts a promo with John Cena at WrestleMania XL.
WWE legend Cena is and wrestling the ring with him could really boost Theory’s standing. It can be his time to shine again.
However, the point is: it is not just about Theory alone; it depends on how WWE perceives him and decides to utilize him.
I have seen many great wrestlers who disappeared due to poor booking choices. I so wish that does not happen to Theory.
I want to witness a triumph in him. I hope that one day I will see that he is the main event of WrestleMania and wins the world championship.
But for this to be so, WWE must give him what his talent deserves and believe in him as much as fans.
So, yeah, Austin Theory’s journey in WWE has been a little bit of a roller coaster. Nonetheless, I am still cheering for him and wish it would dawn on WWE how good he can be if they let him prove it.
Because when Theory is on fire there is no stopping him.
