What I pulled Today
This was not a bad pack. Sure it wasn't a great pack, but three T2's is pretty decent. This pack seems to have a lot of shadowborne, daemon, and gnome which all have pretty dark artwork. If discord dark mode had an Astral Entities pack, it would probably be this one.
The Stealthy and Stalwart Shadowborne Conscript is a T1 Defender with pretty well spread out stats for a T1. I'm not sure if the games will reward more focused stats or if they will prefer a more generalized spread out stat spread like we see here. It's even possible one game will greatly incentivize the use of well min/maxed NFT's and then another could incentivize a more well spread out stat sheet. The cool thing about an entire universe of cards is that one game could incentivize min/maxing similar stats. Another could drive you to min/max opposite stats, and then another could even punish min/maxed builds alltogether.
With 10 stats at 11, the Dwarf Sturdy and Stalwart Spearman seems pretty well min/maxed for defense. 14 Vitality and 15 Endurance is also quite impressive for a T2. The Dwarven Spearman also spends quite a lot of time grooming his hair and has a very intensive cleaning, volumizing, and conditioning regimen.
The T1 Shadowborne Sage is stealthy and studious, and if the 14 perseverance is any clue, probably a pretty steady mage. She also has 12 Intelligence, Wit, Speed, Initiative, and Sprint. She's probably a bit unlucky looking at that 10 Luck though.
While the Daemon Conscript may lack initiative, He is Wickedly Stalwart. His 14 Endurance is pretty good for a T1, and the 13 Vitality, and 12 Might is pretty cool. Those eyes are as dead as they come though-- He's seen things.
This T2 Elven Priest, Acolyte, seems to be a bit of a generalists in stats with Vitality and Endurance being her dump stats. She is Fleet and Calming which is a funny mental image for me to process. I can see her gracefully galloping eyes closed as soothing music plays in the background.
The Shadowborne Shaman is Wickedly Studious with 15 intelligence. He also has decent vitality and endurance which is interesting for a mage-- perhaps he could be used as a front lines battlemage in a pinch. It seems like all his stats suffer some for 15 intelligence at T2, but what else could you want from a mage?
The Nosey and Studious Gnome Sage is a T1 Mage with 14 Wit, 13 Dexterity, and 13 Awareness. I might be getting a bit of a Tyrion Lannister vibe from this sage.
The Nosey Quick Fingered Gnome Thug is a T1 Thief who's wearing waaaaay too much Axe Body Spray. And with 14 Awareness, he knows and is doing it anyway! I do like the 13 Dex, 14 Wit, and 14 Awareness. These are all really good stats to have high in a classic thief. Until some of the games are out, it's impossible to know what will be good or not, but he seems like he could be decent in a pinch.
The Nosey Distracting Gnome Tinker is a T1 Trickster with 14 Dex, 14 Wit, and 13 Awareness. It seems like the Gnomes in general could make pretty good thieves and tricksters, which definitely checks out in lore. These last two cards seem pretty well min/maxed based on thieves in other games. I can't wait till some of these games are out to give it a try!!!
