Today I want to share with you a painting I made of Madcap Magus, a Splinterlands card that I like a lot, its design caught my attention so I wanted to draw it in my style. I hope you like it
Hola queridos artistas, es un gusto saludarles esperando que se encuentren muy bien y activos con sus fantásticos dibujos e ilustraciones. El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una pintura que hice de Madcap Magus, una carta de Splinterlands que me gusta bastante, su diseño me llamo la atención así que quise dibujarlo en mi estilo. Espero les guste
TThe first thing I did was to make the sketch, I always do it with graphite pencil. It is really a traditional drawing and then I transform it into a painting. My concept was simple, I wanted to give him a different touch showing part of his skin that is kept hidden by his shading, so I made him with his head up and with a cassock to emulate a magician's costume. In his hands a stake and his staff, that's how I drew him.
Lo primero que hice fue realizar el boceto, siempre lo hago a lápiz de grafito. Realmente es un dibujo tradicional y después lo voy transformando en una pintura. Mi concepto fue simple, quise darle un toque algo diferente mostrando parte de su piel que se mantiene oculta por su sombreo, así que lo hice con la cabeza en alto y con una sotana para emular un traje de mago. En sus manos una estaca y su báculo, de esa forma lo dibuje.
After I had the sketch ready I proceeded to outline it, that way I erased what I didn't like and gave a better shape to the drawing.
Después de tener el boceto listo procedí a delinearlo, de esa manera voy borrando lo que no me gusta y voy dando una mejor forma al dibujo.
At this point I colored it with traditional colors, colored graphite pencils. I used the same colors of the original card or the most similar ones.
En este punto lo coloree con colores tradicionales, lápices de grafito a color. Use los mismos colores de la carta original o los más parecidos.
After coloring, I wanted to make a background and give some touches with paint. I did this using green, black and white, colors that highlight the drawing.
Después de colorear, quise hacer un fondo y dar unos retoques con pintura. Esto lo hice utilizando el verde, el negro y el blanco, colores que resaltan el dibujo.
Little by little I added details and that's how I finished my art, Madcap Magus in my peculiar style. I hope you liked it and I hope you enjoyed it.
