Artwork: Drybone Megalodon | Splinterlands Art Contest 321 (Eng/Esp)
Hello friends, it's a pleasure to greet you once again. I hope you are well and active with your beautiful artwork. Today I want to share with you a painting I made of a card that caught my attention. Drybone Megalodon, a prehistoric shark with 6 eyes, that was one of the most striking aspects.
Hola amigos, es un gusto saludarles una vez más. Esperando se encuentren bien y activos con sus hermosas obras de arte. El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una pintura que hice de una carta que me llamo mucho la atención. Drybone Megalodon, un tiburón prehistórico con 6 ojos, ese fue uno de los aspectos más llamativos.
As soon as I saw it I thought of my son who likes sharks a lot, so I didn't hesitate to draw it. The first thing I did was the sketch with graphite pencil. What I found most difficult to draw were the eyes, especially to keep the same direction, the rest I did not find so difficult a pose for my megaodon.
Apenas lo vi pensé en mi hijo que le gustan muchos los tiburones, así que no dude en dibujarlo. Lo primero que hice fue el boceto con lápiz de grafito. Lo que más me costó dibujar fueron los ojos, sobre todo para que mantuviesen la misma dirección, del resto no me pareció tan difícil una pose para mi megalodon.
Then I used markers to outline the drawing and eliminate the impurities that remained from the graphite.
Después use marcadores para delinear el dibujo y eliminar las impurezas que quedaron del grafito.
I proceeded to paint it, I used colored pencils, black, white and red to paint each of the corresponding parts. The use of the colors was only to highlight more the drawing because the main objective was to use tempera.
Procedí a pintarlo, use lápices de colores, negro, blanco y rojo para así pintar cada una de las partes correspondientes. El uso de los colores fue solo para resaltar más el dibujo porque el objetivo principal era usar temperas.
Once painted with colors, I proceeded to use the temperas, a deep black for some parts of the skin, and blue with black for the background. I wanted to give it a marine touch.
Una vez pintado con colores, procedí a usar las temperas, un negro profundo para algunas partes de la piel, y azul con negro para el fondo. Quise darle un toque marino.
Once painted, I finished my painting, I hope you like it. / Una vez pintado, culmine mi pintura, espero les guste.
