# A Season of Chaos - Splinter Stats Season 66 Report Card

Over two months after pre-sale started, Chaos Legion was finally released for public sale during this season, meaning that packs can be bought without the need to use vouchers. This allowed a lot of newer players who did not own a solid deck to be able to build one. That includes myself and after popening around 60-70 packs since pre-sale, and buying new cards from the market to be able to level up the summoners, I was able to build a Bronze league deck which proved to also be enough to be competitive in Silver ranks.

Like in previous seasons, I started this one with a losing streak after ending last season in Gold and being dropped to Silver among those more legit gold players who have cards that though would be capped at Silver, are much stronger than my Bronze level cards. However, I was able to get to a winning streak much earlier compared to last season and ended it at a higher win rate with my newly strengthened deck. This season, I decided not to advance to Gold at the end of the season even though I had more than enough rating to reach Gold 2 and only few Collection Power short to at least make it to Gold 3. This is so I could start the following season at Bronze, which would make the beginning of the season not as tough, and more importantly so I could join some tournaments that have lower Entry Fee if one is in Bronze than Silver.

Compared to the previous season, I slacked joining tournaments in this one. I decided to focus more on blogging in Hive and that took away the time I usually spend joining tournaments. I did start joining these new 8-player tournaments which are Anytime Sit n Go, meaning the tournament starts as soon as all 8 slots are filled with teams to be submitted within 24 hours thereafter. Top half gets paid and winning at least 4 of 7 matches guarantees one a spot. I also joined the Splinter Mammoth Kamasplosion Tournament in which I bowed out in Round 4, finishing 27th, enough to win some DEC and Myth Tokens.

No Legendaries from chests this season, but in the first day of the season I got a Gold Foil Uraeus from Daily Quest. I also got another Uraeus, regular foil, and Djinn Renova during daily quests. Near the end of season, the game received an update in which Chaos Legion packs can be obtained with a small chance from those in Silver league and above, and during the End of Season Rewards, I was able to get one.

Still very little renting done this season and I was able to earn more renting out some of my cards like my level 2 Doctor Blight, compared to what I rent, mostly a level 1 Doctor Blight. I rented out my higher level Blight because I did not have appropriate level summoner yet to be able to use him at that level.

My SPS continued to grow at a nice pace and all of them still go straight to being staked.

This season I was able to reach several milestones in terms of my Collection Power reaching enough power to play in Silver 1 without having to rent. This is helped greatly by my second Golf Foil Legendary I pulled from a Chaos Legion Pack, Ifrit Rising. I was also able to build my decks for each splinter, buying off some summoners needed to level them up to 2. If not for the prospect of being able to pull in future packs the 6 legendary summoners created with the help of the top 6 purchasers during pre-season, and the fact that I have used up all the potions I accumulated since I started playing in August, I would probably have opened all the packs I bought, but I managed to save some for later and plan to buy more to keep leveling my cards and even be more competitive in Silver.

Thanks once again to @pladozero for his delegation this season, I have been getting used to having the Alpha Dragons at my disposal I will surely miss them when he decides to take them back.
