CHALLENGE RULES

RULESET: HOLY PROTECTION

Description: All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability.

Info:

  • All units gain the Divine Shield ability which reduces the damage of the first attack received to 0.
  • Divine Shield will be re-applied when a unit is Resurrected.
  • Blast damage will remove Divine Shield.

HOLY PROTECTIONAll Monsters have the Divine Shield ability.Monsters that normally have this ability do not get it twice. The trick to winning in this ruleset is to fill all 6 slots of your lineup and use monsters with Blast and Double Strike. Use a monster or summoner that has Resurrect to use this ruleset at its maximum potential.
STAMPEDEThe Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed.Higher HP and speed are the keys in this ruleset. Dispel helps to remove Trample.

Lineup

It was a low-mana battle without legendaries in a wild bronze tournament.

CardStrategy
Thaddius Brood - I think he is a good summoner for low mana games because -1 Health and some magic defense can increase the winning chance.
Pelacor Deceiver - My main tank, I think it has a very good value for only 5 mana. Ideal stats for low-mana battles, 8 health is fantastic.
Venari Bonesmith - A good low mana magic monster, if it has enough time it can collect a huge life. I hoped Deceiver live enough for tha.
Scavo Technomancer - I changed my mind in the last few minutes and decided to include it on my team due to its blast ability. However, upon further reflection, I believe my original idea was better (refer to the section below).
Ravenhood Warden - One of my new favorite reward card. 4 mana and give our monsters +2 armor. The ranged version of Queen Mycelia.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

No, I had initially considered using blast, but I realized it was a mistake. My original idea was much better:

This game was a toss-up with both teams having an equal chance of winning.

Which cards are good/bad for the HOLY PROTECTION ruleset? Why or why not?

  • Obviously, blast or double-strike monsters are the best for this ruleset.
  • On the other hand, monsters with divine shields lost their advantage in this ruleset.
