Hi there! This is my entry for this week's contest. After I drew the Counqueror is Chillin' last time, I want to draw him doing some Counquering. I want to show the fear he strikes to the heart of the enemies as he rally his troops to victory! 🔥🔥🔥 I want to tell the story of his conquest trough this piece.

Now, here are the steps that I followed to make this piece:

Step 1 ✔️

First, did a quick sketch of the piece that I want to make. I want to draw people running away as Conqueror Jaken invades their city in the middle of the night.

Step 2 ✔️

Next is I made the vanishing point for the piece. I decided to make a 3 point perspective to show the height of the the piece and to make the shot more cinematic.

Step 3 ✔️

Step 3 is when I made the lay-ins for my scene. I arranged them in color to make it easier for me as I paint. I also separated them in different layers for more clean work flow.

Step 4 ✔️

I then drew the environment and the silhouette of the chacter. I also stablished the grayscale at this point.

Step 5 ✔️

Step 5 is when I drew the details. I also added the moon, the bird/phoenix of Counqeror Jaken and I spear near one of the running soldiers.

Step 6 ✔️

Then I fixed the values and added some highlights to make the forms read better. I also added some orange glow near the fire to serve as reflect light.

Step 7 ✔️

Since the soldiers are the closest characters in the piece yet they are not the focal point of the shot, I decided to make their form read a little better but not totally eye catching so that they won't distract the viewer from the main focal point. I also added some texture to the painting.

Step 8 ✔️

And then, lastly, I added a vignette to add a dramatic effect and to help focus the eyes of the viewers from the main subject.
