My adventure with Djinn Apprentice

aq.png

Hi there! Today I will be sharing with you my battle using the rare, fire element card, Djinn Apprentice! Djinn Apprentice is a card you don't see much use in silver, but if utilized well, can cause the destruction of the enemy team. Djinn Apprentice is quite versetile and can easily fit on any kind of team composition. He is quite the "bang for your buck" considering his low mana cost yet great damage output and Mid Health and speed, giving you a good balance on offense and defense. Today, I will be showcasing my match while I use Djinn Apprentice in my own battle. You can check out the game replay here: Click Here

And without further ado, Here is the Battle!

EFFECTS

Peircing

ability_piercing.png

If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health

▶️ Purpose ◀️

Since I want to focus all my damage on the frontline, I don't want to deal with the hassle armor brings plus it also helps Grum Flameblade snowball the game.

Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats.

Void Armor

Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health

▶️ Purpose ◀️

I will try to predict my opponent that He/She/They will be placing a low health monster as their frontline so I could grab an easy bloodlust boost. With his great health and armor, Grum could take as many damage as possible while also recoving some of it using his ability. He could Easily turn the tides of battle as soon as he managed to setup properly.

⚜️ Round 1

image.png

As soon as I saw the a low health monster at the enemy frontline, I rejoiced! I know that Grum would be able to grab a free kill here and potentially snowball. It totally feels like this one is in the bag!

⚜️ Round 2

image.png

Just as predicted, Grum managed to grab a kill and activate his Bloodlust! Also, Void armor proves very useful on the onslaught of magic attacks coming from the enemy. But I could see a dilema here. Djinn Apprentice is targeting another unit thanks to Mycelic Slipspawn's Taunt Ability.

⚜️ Round 3

image.png

This does not looks good! Grum missed his attack and was down into 3 HP while Djinn Apprentice wasn't able to help at all due to the Taunt!

⚜️ Round 4

image.png

Looks like this is the end for me. Grum finally fall and the enemy still has 3 magic dealing moster in their team.

Result ☠️

image.png

In the end, I wasn't able to win even with the great start that I have but still it was fun seeing my tactic almost worked.

11a11.png

🏳️ Did your strategy work?

No, I relied too much on the cheese strategy that I always use that I completely forgot to take account other variable on this match. It was totally a great reminder for me to always think about my next move properly before executing them.

11a11.png

🏳️ What will you try differently next time?

I will definitely use a more balance team next time since I relied on too much brute force on this one. I will try replacing Grum with more suitable Frontline monster next time and maybe some anti taunt will be great too!

11a11.png

🏳️ Did I like this strategy? Why or why not?

That strategy is definitely fun to use but at the same time is very risky. I will certainly try it again on the future just because of the thrill it gives me.
