RULESET: Stampede

Description:

Trample will retrigger infinitely as long as the trampling unit keeps killing other units.

Prime use case for Summoner Possibilus the Wise.

The Strategy

Greetings, fellow Splinterlands tacticians! Today, I'm thrilled to share my battle-tested strategy for the stampede ruleset, a battlefield where monsters with the trample ability become the true champions. Trample in this ruleset can be a game-changer, and I've crafted a powerful lineup that focuses on relentless trample attacks. Join me as I unveil my strategy, featuring Grund, Carnage Titan, and a battalion of heavy-hitting monsters.

The Stampede Ruleset: Trample Triumphs

In stampede battles, the trample ability takes center stage. This unique ability allows a monster to retrigger its attack infinitely as long as it keeps defeating other units. This means that focusing on trample monsters can lead to devastating and unstoppable forces on the battlefield.

Frontline Tank with Trample: Grund

My strategy begins with selecting a front trampling tank, and for this role, Grund is the perfect choice. His trample ability, combined with his formidable stats, makes him a juggernaut on the battlefield. His focused attack on the enemy's first position ensures that he not only deals significant damage but also takes full advantage of his trample ability.

Reinforcing the Trample: Carnage Titan

To further bolster my trample-focused strategy, I deploy Carnage Titan in the second position. Carnage Titan is an ideal companion to Grund, boasting a double strike ability and four damage on each strike. This adds up to a staggering sixteen melee damage every round. The combined might of Grund and Carnage Titan can soften up the enemy monster in the first position, making it easier for Grund's trample ability to do its work.

Focused Fire on the First Position

The rest of my lineup is carefully chosen to maximize damage on the enemy's first position. In the stampede ruleset, the focus on the first position is key. The more damage we can direct there, the quicker we can defeat the opponent's monsters and trigger trample.

Whether it's monsters with high melee damage, additional attack abilities, or ranged attackers, each unit is selected for its ability to relentlessly focus on the first position. This results in a concentrated barrage of attacks that can overwhelm the enemy unless they deploy a taunt ability to redirect some of the damage.

Conclusion: Stampede's Unstoppable Force

In the stampede ruleset, trample becomes a force to be reckoned with. By using monsters like Grund and Carnage Titan, my strategy focuses on delivering relentless and overwhelming trample damage to the opponent's first position. The rest of my team complements this strategy by adding to the concentrated fire.

Remember, each ruleset in Splinterlands presents a unique challenge and opportunity for creative strategies. In stampede battles, embracing trample can be the key to victory, and a well-crafted lineup can result in an unstoppable force on the battlefield.

The Summoner

Quix is a legendary dragon summoner particularly useful in this ruleset as it reduces the speed of the opposing team.

1st Slot - Trample Tank

Grund is an epic monster from the Chaos Legion Core set that is very good in the Stampede ruleset because of his double strike and trample abilities. It also has a high output of four with every strike.

2nd Slot - Double Strike Reach Monster

Carnage Titan is another member of the Chaos Legion Core ruleset. It is a legendary dragon monster with a double strike ability.

3rd Slot - Magic Damage Dealer Monster

Chaos Dragon is a legendary Chaos Legion Core set monster that does four damage with blast. Very useful to take out random smaller monsters in that are hidden behind a taunt monster.

4th Slot - Ranged Damage Dealer Monster

Gargoya Devil is a rare reward monster that deals four ranged damage and can be used from the first position.

5th Slot - Fast Sneak

Goblin Psychic is a common monster from the Chaos Legion set. It heals the front monster and has important silence, dispel and affliction abilites

6th Slot - Tank

And last but not least we have a Supply Runner. This chaos legion set monster speeds up and increases health of the whole team in addition to having three ranged damage.

THE BATTLE

Our opponent went with a very solid team lead by one of the best Chaos Legion summoners and having a few maxed out Riftwatcher cards.

Round one was an exchange of blows, both teams are still fairly strong:

In the second round we definitely saw the power of stampede ability. After our Carnage Titan softened up their tank with two melee blows our trampling tank was able to take out not only the tank but also their reach monster. This is a very important development.

In the third round we saw the power of trample ability once again as our stampeding tank was able to take out three of their monsters!
This is a game winning move!

And with the first shot of the fourth round Supply runner finishes the battle for a win:
