Reaching Another SPS Milestone 600,000+ SPS Staked!

It has been a couple days less than three months since my last milestone of 550,000 staked SPS and today I am over 600K SPS staked! In these last three months I have been accumulating SPS via ranked play, brawls, SPS Validator and staking rewards.

At this rate of around 50,000 SPS every three months I should be up to one million SPS staked a year from now or slightly earlier. I always wanted to be an SPS millionaire :)

Interesting to note that while I have over fifty thousand more SPS that I had on August 21st 2025 the value of the staked SPS is actually lower in dollar terms. That is not surprising as all of the crypto assets have been in a major correction recently with Bitcoin spending some time below ninety thousand the last few days.

Here is the value of my SPS this August:

It is hard to say if SPS will be higher or lower a year from now, but at $0.0065 per SPS it seems like a bet that is worth taking. We are about fifty seven percent above our all time lows from around a year ago which were $0.004147.

If you are looking for a trade it might make sense to buy some SPS before the upcoming mini card set that should come in the next few months and is priced in SPS. In the past this cause SPS price to spike up, so this could be a decent trading opportunity.

New Jackpot Cards

Starting this Tuesday you can earn new Conclave Arcana Jackpot Cards via the chests. There are a total of five cards and depending on the chest rarity the likelihood of getting these cards increases the following way:

All of these cards are dual element and they seem fairly strong at the maximum levels. I particularly like these two:

These are common and rare, but they seem more usable to me than the epic and legendary cards in this set:

Based on the drop rates these are mostly available in the ultimate chests, I guess that boosts the utility of the ultimate chests, but I wonder how long it would take to max these out...

Overall these are not very big numbers with only 800 legendary cards, those would be really hard to max out!

I guess I should start buying Ultimate Chests, last season I completely ignored those and with the new prices you would really need a lot of glint to buy these every season.

Perhaps I should look into increasing my SPS even further and reviewing my card collection to see if I can make it stronger and more competitive.

Overall, I feel like Splinterlands have been building and making a great progress. The only thing that I see lacking is the crypto bull market in altcoins and new players. In general play to earn and gaming narratives have been really week over the past several years.

There seems to be a lot of marketing efforts happening in Splinterlands right now like the YouTuber tournament Painforge, the crypto gaming recovery fund that seeks to attract new players from the failed games, but so far we still have to see a major increase in the new players.

In the past thirty days we had one hundred fourteen new players sign up with spellbooks based on almost four thousand total sign ups. It is not bad, but this is not moving the needle on Splinterlands economy:

Conclusion

In order to see SPS appreciation we really need an altcoin market and for crypto gaming narrative to become hot again, the all the marketing efforts that Splinterlands is running will pay off.

I am betting that eventually the gaming narrative will come back and until then I am stacking SPS. See you at one million and hopefully we will get an altcoin market next year.
