Looking Back at My Latest Season in Splinterlands
As I am looking back at the last season, this is the first season in as long as I can remember where I have not played any Modern league battles. The reason for it is two fold, first of all I am trying to max out my legendary cards and those legendary draws are really pricey in Glint and playing in Wild earns me a lot more glint than in Modern league. And the second reason is that based on my calculations with my current set of cards it is more profitable to play in Wild.
Here is how my last forty seasons in Splinterlands Wild League looked like in terms of my maximum rating:
\What I see here is that as I have focused more on the Wild League my end rating and my end league have continued to trend higher. As you can see from this chart in the past there were two seasons in the row 144 and 145 where I didn't play any Wild League battles and before that a four season break with no Wild battles.
Season Summary
So last season I was able to play every single battle in Wild and still I am not able to break into Champion One. I guess my deck is not a Champion One material.
My win rate was slightly better than fifty percent which is a bit down from me trying to maximize SPS earnings and win rate between Wild and Modern leagues. Still I was able to win 228 battles out 455 which resulted in 1155.831 SPS or 5.07 SPS per battle which is up from last season.

As you can see from the table above my top source of SPS remains to be SPS validator block validation rewards at almost five thousand SPS tokens per season.
My second top source of SPS is from SPS staking at 1,214 SPS per season and finally ranked battle reward are a close third at 1155.831 SPS.
The cost of the Wild Pass is 2,000 DEC at the current prices 1155.83 SPS is approximately: 10,204 DEC or 8,204 DEC profit
Predictably after an initial spike in SPS earnings with the SPS Validators launch my total SPS earnings continue to go down. Since Survival mode is back on it will be interesting to see how the earnings will be impacted. Here is my SPS earnings chart since I have started playing Splinterlands in 2021:
As you can see from the table below I have been purchasing only Legendary card Draws in order to max out my legendary reward cards.
Reward draws purchased
Even with all of my playing in Wild league I was able to purchase only five legendary draws at 35,000 Glint each.
I am continuing to purchase first tranche of Minor, Medium and Ultimate chests as I consider it to be a good practice as it earns merits to max out my gladiator cards as well as extra energy in order to earn more SPS tokens. Additionally there is a good chance of getting some legendary cards from these chests.

As you can see I was able to get 43k of merits and 88 extra battles and at 5 SPS per battle with a win rate of approximately fifty percent that is good for 44 battles times 5 SPS = 220 extra SPS.
Jackpot prizes continue to evade me this season :)

As you can see I was able to earn eleven BCX of legendary cards from chests alone which is much better than legendary draws of five.
League rewards
I was able to earn nine ultimate chests in my league advancement rewards which could potentially be a good win, though this time around my earnings of everything from the league chests were quite modest. I earned less than 5k merits and only twelve energy from these and no legendary cards.

Closing notes
Overall a good and profitable season as with a profit of around $8 just for the ranked part and not considering all other SPS earnings which in total amounted to: 7937 SPS or at the current depressed SPS prices of $0.0082 per SPS token $65.31.
If SPS was close to it's all time high of $1 per token these two week earnings would have been worth almost eight thousand dollars...
