@bobthebuilder2 introduced the PsyberX and Hive community to a new text-based game available to play now and for free!

Welcome, to the the Hive Discord Game Serfdom and Sorcery!

The Game

Serfdom & Sorcery is a text-based game exclusively on the Psyber X Discord channel of the same name. You begin at the lowest level of peasantry like any other game you might start. First, register in any room of the Psyber X discord channel "Serfdom and Sorcery." Next, the game will have you choose between one of the following three categories: Nature, Combat, or Pillager.

Nature

Your focus is nature.

You are aligned with nature to such a degree that your capability for resource gathering exceeds that of other classes. You can pull greater yields in "farming, fishing, and other resource activities".

Combat

Your focus is combat.

You live for battle. Your combat skills surpass that of naturalists and pillagers. The damage dealt in each confrontation is greater than that scored by naturalists and pillagers. Each death you cause brings you ever closer to higher ranks.

Pillager

Your focus is pillaging.

Pillagers may fancy themselves as the intellectual elite of Serfdom and Sorcery. Why constantly toil on farms and fish for a livelihood? Why risk your health and safety combating the monsters that litter the countryside? Why not take from those that collect to maintain your livelihood? We are the survivors of the game. Our skills at theft, looting, and raiding are unmatched.

Gaming Review

The game is pretty straightforward. Whatever you select, there's something to do in the game. The game presents you with a simple explanation of the game before making choices. The more you play, the more you can climb the ranks of Serfdom and Sorcery.

One thing I should have expected was the game's currency. Serfdom and Sorcery run on the Doubloon (DBLN) coin. You can earn it in the game or purchase it on the market. If passing the time away interests you, I recommend the text game. There's no harm in playing; it is also free to play.

One item I needed clarification on was the classes you could choose. According to the game, once you pick a profession, you're stuck with it. So, you better make sure you've made the correct choice! There's no news on being able to switch classes at this time. The game is fun to play, regardless.

The Serfdom and Sorcery game is a simple text-based RPG in the @PsyberX Discord.

I played it myself, and I enjoyed the playtime. I'll continue playing off and on during the week on my computer at home or my phone if I'm out and have time to kill.
