Evolution through Wahala (POB WOTW S5W2 Update)

Those determined, however, can create their own option though at a high personal cost. So did the great Orisha Oshun choose her fate in becoming the messenger of the Yoruba deity Olodumare.
Olodumare

Perhaps no entity can physically observe the infinite. No one is certain about the biological capacity to perform such a feat. Olodumare, similar to the gods of other religions, is the supreme deity in the Yoruba faith. The god's characteristics are identical to many others. Perhaps, this god is just another in a long ling of powers borrowed by the Christian and Catholic faiths. It would make sense as current scientific findings show humanity originated from the land of Africa.
And like the other supreme deities reported by humanity, fate required that Olodumare discipline his creations. The supreme God could not physically exist where other life forms resided. His presence would spell doom for them since only the spiritual realm could contain the power of supremacy.
Yet, other orishas did conspire to remove the Olodumare from its throne. They conspired until Olodumare discovered the plot. How couldn't he find it out? He created all. Unfortunately, the hubris of the orishas would not let them make this connection.
Orisha Oshun

Being the creations of Olodumare, the Orishas fulfilled his every commandment and whim. They existed to serve. Yet, within them resided the free will needed to attend his every call. Over the eons, the orishas tired of such service. Olodumare's condition was that while he commanded all the cosmic energies, he could only do so from a vast distance away from his creations.
How then could his creations take Olodumare's power for their own? They could split his existence into shards of energy. Equal pieces of his presence would be shared equally amongst the orishas. They would be gods unto themselves and more capable of ruling than the distant being. The processes to accomplish this task has been lost to the histories. Humanity doesn't know if they ever had this knowledge. Olodumare, however, sought to teach his creations a lesson in humility they would not forget.
So, Olodumare took from the Orishas their power. The deity withheld the rains from the world, causing it to crack in drought. The followers of Orisha began to die in droves, and since the Orishas gained sustenance from worship, the death of humanity spelled their doom. The Orishas tried to appease Olodumare and beg his forgiveness in their panic. Unfortunately, since he existed so far away, all their efforts were lost. That is until Oshun attempted the impossible.
Unlike the other orishas, Oshun made attempts to contact Olodumare herself. She strived to reach the temple of Olodumare. Each attempt brought agonizing transformation to her being. Her winds were burned in the effort when traveling to his realm as a dove. When re-attempting to reach the god as a vulture, she again was met with defeat. She never ceased in her efforts despite the hardship and turmoil it brought. Her goal was Olodumare, and her wahala was the vast distance she needed to travel and her physical limitations.
Wahala becomes Success

Wahala becomes a success if you so choose. We can't have solutions without the problems that led to their discovery. Wahala is a part of our everyday life. We live and breathe the battles we face within and the outside world. If we can overcome the tribulations of wahala, we can grow more robust than the life events that try to crush us.

Enemies of my Enemy

Nigeria's Yoruba tribe faced challenges on their own. However, they continue onward today, dealing with their own Wahala. In fact, every civilization on Earth has faced its own wahala.
- Zulu Empire against the British
- American states against the British
- India against the British
- The Dreg Society against the Zeelis elites
Every society has its nemesis: the entity that serves to subjugate a population for its own well-being. You can't have a metropolis without free speech. Similarly, you can't have a municipality without a servant class. In this regard, the Dreg Society serves a vital role as a foundation for the planet, and city, named Zeelis. Astronomers from the Royal Reptile Studios detected the cosmic body near the location of Kepler-452b.
Yet, how does the servant class function? The terms servant and enslaved person are synonymous. The Dreg society had its history and concept of time demolished over time immemorial. The people of the Dreg Society only know of today, yesterday, and tomorrow. They know of sun-up and sun-down. Timepieces are illegal. Dissension of any type is not tolerated. There is no death penalty. Only levels of life penalties can extend to anyone if your family or friends bubble. Children and adults must fulfill their determined work-destinies as the Prime Minister's office delineated.
The enemies of my enemy might still be my enemy. A tenuous position forms when differing groups join forces against another. So did a tenuous agreement form between Commander Oberkrom and Alpha T-27. Alpha T-27 began his life following the tortuous and physical demise of Professor Zhanshì. We can only guess what may occur when talks fail and violent confrontations become the only means to a solution.

Epilogue - The Almighty Messenger

The orishas were in a panic. Death was all around. Each moment a human life became lost, the orishas died in vain trying to mitigate the wrath of Olodumare. Their plan to subjugate his power, no longer on their minds, failed when he discovered the Orisha's plot. There was no mercy. There was no compromise. Life throughout the cosmos was coming to an end.
The wahala, however, wasn't in the attempts of the Orisha. It came from, instead, their fear of sacrifice. What they knew, but would not accept, was that their success to overthrow Olodumare required their sacrifice. Many of them would die in the attempt, and only a few would remain. This realization alone prevented their success. Fortunately for life throughout the cosmos, the Orisha Oshun didn't care about her survival. She only cared about the continuity of life. Oshun was not a party to the machinations of the other Orishas. Her desire was to make known to Olodumare that people wanted to live without desires of conquest.
Each attempt she made to contact the all-powerful was agonizing torment. Each form she chose to travel to Olodumare failed, resulting in the burning and destruction of her flesh. Yet, she did not hesitate. Each failure led to a longer distance traveled to the almighty's temple. No matter the cost, she would have her voice heard before the highest-one. Spending what seemed like an eternity suffering damnation, there was a sudden pause to the agony. She collapsed once the pain stopped-unable to move despite her remaining celestial energy. The torment was too much to bear.
The calm from her travels was peaceful-not because of the beauty of the cosmos surrounding her. Instead, it came from the peace one feels when one collapses from the agonies of the vessel. You surrender yourself to the pain, not because you accept it, but because you can no longer endure. A calming warmth surrounded her in her silent madness and relieved her of the pain. The feel of hands gripping her body awakened her as she felt these hands pick up her body and slowly move her to another place.
She awoke to the vision of beauty and madness. Sights beyond her understanding surrounded her. Despite her immortality and power, she did not understand what she saw. When she heard the almighty's voice, it was as if thunder erupted both outside and inside of her being.
In fact, Olodumare heard all the pleas of the orishas before Oshun. He chose not to grant their wishes. The other orishas grew slothful over their subjects. They grew complacent in the powers granted them by the heavenly father.
Oshun's sacrifice showed the highest that the salvation of sentient life throughout the cosmos was worth the effort. Oshun understood the logic of the highest and found that it was good. Oshun's body was restored. She could now return to the almighty at will so long as the multiverse remained.

WAHALA
WAHALA
WAHALA
Just as Oshun overcame her wahala...
There are men and women in history who have grown stronger and wiser through adversity.
I'm not sure if I will ever learn my lesson.
As quoted by Mencius:
Or as quoted by Uncle Ben,
"With great power comes great responsibility."
Problem es no dey finish.
NO WAHALA
NO WAHALA
Great points, of course. Few of us learn from our adversity unless we actively look for it or, through failure, are forced to adapt for the sake of survival.
Sorry my story is late. I just finished now.
It's understandable. I'm glad I have the chance to read your work again.
I want to draw a comic everyday and write two short stories a week and make videos once a week, but when it comes down to it I am very glad just to be alive. !PIZZA
