Reward summoners - play(not pay) to earn

Yesterday, I went over to google's play store and tried to download a daily puzzle game. After reading some reviews, I downloaded one and looked it up. It had a crossword, sudoku, and some other promised puzzle that never loaded. I tried opening one crossword and suddenly, it all seemed alien to me.

Oh dear, I thought. Splinterlands has me really tied up so much that I do not even consider looking at a word game. I loved word games and now, it does not seem to hold interest for me. Seriously addicted to splinterlands. So, it seems.

Many people left playing when new editions were released because they found it too overwhelming. When the Chaos Legion was released, the older cards took a hit because the newer summoners had stats that were more suitable for the recent rulesets. Anyways, now these summoners too are taking a backseat with the soul-bound reward summoners. Some of them are really powerful and if the right cards are used, there is no looking back.

The catch is that everybody has to play and earn these and not pay to earn them. Some of the reward summoners like Lobb Lowland are really good at winning. I do not have many cards enough to play for the maxed leagues but now that I am back in gold, I can try some of these.

I have been defeated by some of these such as the Brune, Lowland and Ruffmane. The benefit these summoners have over others is that they can use a gladius card and those who do not bother to play brawls will realize how important it is to play brawls and get those merits in order to buy the gladius packs. The reward chests do give out merits sometimes but honestly, those won't be quite enough to buy a lot of packs and get those cards leveled up.

So, if you are not yet part of a guild, there are many that are free to join and also play brawls in their respective tiers. Do send in a request, join the brawling and play and remember it is the participation that is fun and even if you do not win, you can keep trying to play and win. You can also enter free tournaments to practice playing in the league you would like to brawl in.

Soul-bound summoners cannot be bought. It has to be earned. So, I noticed that players use even lower-level cards and still win because of the awesome stats.

How can these be earned?
Start playing your daily quests and earn them from the reward chests. Once you start getting it, try to level it up. These cards are hard-earned and will be certainly useful as the game progresses. Once the print finishes, these will be hard to obtain as well because no one has enough even for themselves.
