For this battle, we have the featured rule set Holy Protection were all monsters have the Divine shield ability as well as Counterspell that gives the Magic Reflect ability and Weak Magic that prevents magic attacks from penetrating armor. Given this conditions, my line- up was made of:

  • Summoner: I used Kelya Frendul which gives + 1 speed and armor on all ally monsters.

  • 1st Position: Baakjira has huge health and has the Heal ability that will recover some of the damaged it receives as well as Strengthen which increases the health of all ally monsters. It also got Void which reduce the damage it takes from magic attacks and Slow to reduce the speed of all opponent monsters.

  • 2nd Position: Merdhampir has the Cripple ability that reduces the max health of the target as well as Lie Leech which increases its max health every time it deals damage. Ensnare will remove the Flying ability of the target.

  • 3rd Position: Angelic Mandarin has the Triage which can restore the health of a backline monster together with the Silence to reduce the magic of all opponent monsters.

  • 4th Position: Swamp Spitter has the Repair which restores the armor of an ally monster and Giant Killer that deal double damage on monsters with 10 or more mana.

  • 5th Position: Runemancer Kye also got the Life Leech ability with Flying that gives 25% dodge chance and Fury to deal double damage on monsters with Taunt

  • 6th Position: Wave Brood has the Taunt ability which forces monsters attack on this card while it also got Return Fire to reflect range damage towards the attacker and Void to reduce magic damage.

Battle Recap

Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at Splinterlands.

Keep Your Distance.png

Did your Strategy Work?

For this battle, I have made sure to be prepared and bring Adelade Brightwing so that I can use the Divine Shield ability from its full potential. On the other hand, the opponent has self destruct it self by bringing magic monsters without any type of protection with the amplified magic attack which cased them a lot of damage and the fact that the opponent is fighting my team with only gold level team which does not have as much abilities and stats that my team have given that we have some similar cards.
