He does this because he already enjoys being famous and says he doesn't need to be super rich.

You gave it a beautiful look when you mentioned national theatre , you couldnt have helped it. Those guys are famous and really dont have much to live on, most of them survive on Church and are suffering from chronic diseases. That was not because they werent rich at a time, they had money, but an important aspect of wealth includes wisdom to keep making it. They had lacked this wisdom, enjoyed their money from movie hits and never considered days of yore, the other day we were considering who designed the flag of Nigeria and who wrote the national anthem, their work overshadows them, but who can remember their names.
I believe with money, you can have the influence you need and knock on doors. When you have money, you don't even need to leave your comfort zone, they will be the one looking for you. Yes, fame is good but knowing who I am, I don't really fancy it. I would stick with money.

I think fame is a major distraction from facing reality. There are many famous people who are eating from hand to mouth. It is good to be known but it is better to be wealthy.
With wealth or riches, your fame will eventually come. The fame you are seeking for is in wealth.

When Aliko Dangote started his business with the token of #20,000 he borrowed from his uncle Dantata, nobody knew him. But when he made wealth, he became famous, the richest man in Africa.
It is possible for a famous man to be pour. Like they say:
I'd rather be wealthy than have fame.
Wealthy People
When a man is wealthy, he commands respect. He could even employ a famous man to be to his service.
Wealthy people have the freedom to send money on an errand. What will a famous person who does not have enough money do if not excuses.
Anytime, any day, I will love to be wealthy than to be famous. I like to provide for my family, everything necessary to live a good life and even more. Fame cannot bring me that.

Age doesn't equate to maturity. You can speak Latin still it doesn't mean you know how to speak. You can take a vow and it doesn't mean you know how to love. Just because two lips met it doesn't mean two hearts joined. Fame doesn't translate to relevance. You can be famous and still it doesn't translate to much, that's life and it's easier to get carried away with the fanfare.
For me, I don't want fame but I want the money. The fame would drive unnecessary attention to me but I've always been the type that loves to pull the strings underneath. Most people who know me would know I keep things on the low. I wouldn't fault those who want fame, never, because the first thing is we need to understand ourselves to know what we would do when presented with opportunities. For me, I want the money and I have a lot of things to do which a lot of people wouldn't even know I am the face of it. Let others struggle for the glory, I'm okay with doing it underneath.
With a lot of money I can fulfil my dream of helping youth to rediscover themselves. I know we live in a world where we want everything to be about education, and rightly so. I want to help teenagers... Equip those who want to learn crafts while also sponsoring those who want to focus on education. Education isn't for everyone...so it's about helping them recognize what works for them.
I agree that with fame you can attract a lot of money but like I said, I don't like getting carried away... I would just stick with the money while leaving the fame out.

Well, one of the main reasons I will choose fame over money is because fame is not what you can see, we become famous for one of two reasons;
If you are famous because you did something good do you know the wealth that will come to you over time? You won't have the need to chase after money money will be the one to run to you.
But if you are famous for something bad, it will be really difficult for you but you will still have support from someone somewhere.
I absolutely love this reason and you are right. There is wealth that comes with fame but knowing how I like being behind the scene, it's not something I want. A lot of people have been ruined also by the fame because they attract unnecessary attention to themselves.
Also, having every aspect of my life scrutinized isn't something I would like... The media follows you everywhere, carries your news everywhere...even when you sneeze. They start reading meaning to things they shouldn't which if you are not strong enough, can break someone.

Today's engagement topic is a very logical one. I called it that because we have two topics that are literally dependent on one another. For instance, money attracts people. Having enough money to the extent of being referred to as being wealthy, surely comes with attention. It is rare for a wealthy man not to have fame to a certain extent unless he is the type that can cover his wealth from the sight of people. But that's not possible because one cannot cover the moon "aka ekpuchi onwa".
On the other hand, being famous comes with the ability to render a service or proffer a solution to a particular challenge. As a result, you'll be known for that particular thing. And conventionally, proffering solution to challenges brings wealth to us, especially if the service we render is highly sorted after.
But for the sake of this question and not to maintain a neutral ground, I would be going with fame, that is, if what fame means here is knowing a lot of people or being known by people. There is this saying in my place that he that has people is greater than he that has wealth - "Onye nwere mmadu ka onye nwere ego".
The greatest commodity one can have is people not money. But in our world today, being famous comes with a lot of sacrifices. Social media has made people see those that are famous as "gods - perfect people" but it ought not to be so.
On that note, the life I desire is a life where I am known by those that I have positively influenced by my wealth. In essence, being polished by a mixture of the two - fame and wealth, at the right proportion, in the right application, is the best for me.
I love this. Being famous comes with a lot of sacrifices especially having your daily life scrutinized that makes you feel exhausted that you don't have a life. It draws unnecessary attention too which I don't like. I don't hate fame but knowing my kind of person, I would rather pick money...and grow jejely. As a person who enjoys a small circle of friends, I don't care much for fame, though well utilised could make you rich (the positive kind of fame though 😂).
Sometimes I actually pity famous people, some famous people because you'd hardly find a famous person who manages to keep a private life. Every of their actions are under the scrutiny of the public, press and unwanted eyes. Not being able to go anywhere I want without a disguise or heavily guarded doesn't sound fun at all for me.

If we're talking WEALTH, there's no how you won't be known, unless you're a Nigerian politician hoarding money and storing it in a pit under your bed 😂 (that's not even wealth). You'll surely be known, I believe this type of knowing is just not meant for the general public.
I don't care about "being known" as long as I'm known by the right people. I won't just be the rich Aunty always in the papers or on tv but have an actual presence in the life of people I love. What makes someone famous? There are different things that makes us famous and it all boils down to what we can offer to others and even the world at large.
The reason why this fame is becoming something that wants to seem like sin is because some of them allow pride to creep in and they want more of the world to know about what they are doing and that's where the social media come in.

It depends on what wealth is to you and I, I found out that money is the least type of wealth and thats has been missed by many, money has wings and it will fly to where you send it or where there is solution. So if you can have Ideas, trust me, that's a higher realm of wealth than money, the most important type of wealth you want to have is people, human resources, which includes their time, energy, passion and even their money. Having this type of wealth is the gold standard, it cant be compared to being famous, because, really wealth includes influence and one can be famous and not influential like the example you had sited.
SO for me with this understanding of wealth, of course I ll be wealthy and thats gonna be the side I stand..
