Splinterlands Social Challenge: Splinterlands Creating it’s Own Bullrun!

If you have been following the general crypto markets then you would have noticed that people are getting frustrated waiting for the bull run to kick in and many are wondering if the bull run has been cancelled this year. BTC has been getting pushed down whenever it tries to break out, major alts are struggling to stay afloat and the majority of smaller alts are heading towards their all time lows.
Splinterlands is however built differently as it’s devs keep building at breakneck speeds irrespective of how the market is behaving. It also helps that the core community supports all new releases actively.

In fact if you have been following Splinterlands you would have noticed that they have started focusing a lot on marketing now as they have several big upgrades in the pipeline including:
-Conclave Arcana close to being launched
-Land 1.75 details coming out
-New Gameplay of Survival mode already launched

Why the Demand for Splinterlands Assets is Growing despite a Slow Crypto Market?
Splinterlands community knows that the game has sustained over 7 years coming out stronger in each bearish phase it came across. The core players keep collecting assets whenever they see it a good opportunity. With the new upgrades lined up people have again started up the assists they consider valuable or were planning to accumulate.

Untamed GoldFoil Cards are selling out fast. The sale volumes are picking up and what can trigger a major price surge is that if you see the market there are hardly and GoldFoil Legendariers available for sale. The reason for that is that Untamed GF Legendaries have a Power of 50,000 which is much higher than the newer collections. This makes them super useful to be deployed on land. People are picking them up in preparation for Land 1.75

Land Plot floors are surging. Few weeks back you could pick up land plots around $10 in most of the regions. Now the floor is around $20 in most regions and some regions the floor has gone upto $40 to $50. These are the whale regions as the land upgrades favours players having multiple plots in same region as it allows resources to be shared across.

Are Rebellion Reward Cards Going to be Phased Out?
I think Rebellion Reward cards are going to be phased out or maybe they are already stopped. The reason I think so is that I recently hit the Gold I League in the current season. When I opened the chests I was really disappointed to see that I did not get a single card from the chests I opened. Normally when I open the reward chests I get 1-2 cards for each 5 chests I open. Getting absolutely no card can not be a coincidence I think and it seems like they have decided to stop giving out more Rebellion reward cards.

Getting Lucky with the Gladius Packs!
I guess every cloud has a silver lining as the chests I opened gave a high number of Merits which were enough to purchase 2 Gladius packs which contain my favourite Gladiators.
Many of the recent Gladius packs I opened just had the 1 Rare card which is the minimum you can expect.

The first pack I opened made up a bit for my disappointment as it had 2 Rare cards.
The second pack turned out even better as it had 1 Epic and 1 Rare.
So I am able to upgrade some of the Gladiators I had been waiting for quite some time.

Now let me see if I can unlock the Diamond III League during the weekend. Game On!
