HIVE Introduction- Sam!!

Hi Guys! I am Sam and I finally decided to write my Introduction post. I have to admit I feel a bit odd as I have been playing splinterlands for close to 5 years now and blogging on and off on HIVE for 4 years but somehow I never went through the badge system on HiveBuzz.

Recently I started blogging more regularly on HIVE so I came across the list of badges and saw that I still haven’t written my Introduction so I am writing it now- better late than never. I also need the next badge of having someone comment on my Introduction so if you are reading this please comment.
So with that let me come to my introduction:

My Crytpo Journey
I am Sam and I decided to go down the Crypto Rabbit Hole around 2017 and have been sinking deeper and deeper every year.
This is my 3rd bull run and I have successfully round-tripped 2 bull runs. Hopefully I break the jinx this time and manage to book some profits for myself before the run gets over.

My Favourite Crypto Projects
Bitcoin was my first love in the world of crypto and it continue to dominate over 75% of my portfolio. I was a BTC Maxi for a very long time but then eventually started exploring other projects like Ethereum and L2 projects that came up on it.
I was late to Solana ecosystem and early to the SUI ecosystem and these 2 chains form a good part of my portfolio currently

How I Discovered HIVE!

Splinterlands
When I started playing Splinterlands I didn’t even realise for many months that it was running on a different blockchain called HIVE. For about a year I did not realise there were many blogging platforms running on HIVE like HIVE Blog, Peakd and InLeo. It is a pity as I had been blogging regularly on crypto related topics since 2018.

For a very long time my only interaction with HIVE was by playing Splinterlands. Gradually I started blogging about Splinterlands on HiveBlog and recently I started exploring other games running on HIVE like DCrops and HoloZing.

Now as I explore more and more about HIVE I realise there are still so many aspects that I still don’t fully understand like the Curation process or what it means to power up or power down but I plan to figure that out soon.
