A poem about summer watermelon.
Full of red juicy pieces, like winter clothes in the heat. Sweet taste, cold body, watermelon is the love of my soul.
Wrapped in red-green hues, you are the queen of summer, Full of honey juice, this life-giving taste is gumi. When the traveler gasps in the scorching sun,The cool watermelon calls in the shade.
When cut into pieces, brightly colored,
With its ice-touched shell, like broken autumn clouds.
The laughter of children, quench the thirst of the elders,Dry throats in the heat, you moisten them in a gap.The seeds spread, hope in the lap of the soil,Come back to the tree again, the language of new juice.
Colorful colors, green open,
Red inside, crooked spots flowing.
When you cut it into pieces, it sparkles in the sun,When you put it in your mouth, the fatigue of your soul is filled with all the evening.
When I go to the market, I hear people shouting,"Fresh watermelon, I know it's sweet!"I buy it, cut it into pieces, I sit down and eat it with my family.
The best companion on a hot day,
Quenches thirst, brings a smile to your face, brother.Watermelon, you are the abode of juice,The name of nectar in the summer of Bengal!
