Teaching the importance of Geography to my Son in Our Homeschool
It's very funny to see that some university students of History and International Studies doesn't know geographical locations in Africa. I invigilated an exam two months ago where students were asked to write the countries in Africa and their capitals. I watched a student listed Belgium as a country in Africa, another wrote Haiti. What even amazed me was the fact that they're students of international studies. International studies without knowing the geographical locations of the world is actually useless. Africa is their continent and they don't know the countries that make up Africa is the highest level of insanity. To avert this, I've deliberately decided to teach my son the importance of geography and also knowing places both in Nigeria, Africa and the entire world. With this am sure that my son will answer any questions that arise from geography. Greetings from @salvadornkpara.
What's Geography?
Geography is the the study of the physical features of the earth and its atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these, including the distribution of populations and resources and political and economic activities.Source

Geography as well as history is very important to Nigerians and to help my child understand geographical features at this tender age is my priority. Like the holy bible says train up a child in the way he should go and when he's old he'll not depart from it. Thanks for reading my post.

Nothing can be more important than geography. It helps with knowing history and historically important events. Knowing where you fit and aids in geopolitics.
That's true, geopolitics is very important to an individual and the nations at large. Thank you
