Social Media Challenge - Winning my first Practice Mode Game on Splinterlands

Hello everyone on this noble platform and the Hive ecosystem at large, I am very excited to write and share this wonderful article here with you all and I hope that you guys will enjoy reading it as well. Not the usual Moon Karts today, but rather I will share another game of the Founder of Moon Karts which is none other than Splinteralands.

Splinterlands is one of the best web3 card strategy games which I have been monitoring for a while now since I joined the Hive platform. It was due to time constraints that were keeping me from participating in all these web3 games. As I said in my first post this month, I will try as much as possible to stay active and blogging on the platform to build a good reputation on the blockchain.

After reading some guide posts from players in the past week, I realized that I could go ahead and play the free mode of the game as practice after which, when I master it, I can go ahead and purchase the Spellbook Summoner to start earning from the game. Now, I am ready to take a new step by venturing into the Splinterlands game.

Before I purchase the Spellbook, I will use this week as a practice session so I can master the strategies and secrets behind the game. However, I played my first-ever battle and I would like everyone to sip it as I won with a flawless victory, hahaha. It was a modern format battle and as we all know, you need to have Spellbook before you can even access the Wild format.

The battle had a 16 Max mana cap with all six elements active and the ruleset is standard, which is no change to the gameplay rules. I was shaking while making my selection, first chose water cards and then canceled everything and came back to choose earth cards. I selected Obsidian as my summoner and with the monsters, they were as follows. Regal Peryton followed by Goblin Psychic which was also followed by the Chaos Agent monster.

In the first round, we all battled nicely and no monster was killed in that round. Unfortunately for my opponent, I killed one of his monsters at the end of round 2. His two monsters all lost attacks on my Regal Peryton monster. Was that magic or what caused that missed, maybe when I learn more I will understand better rules of the game.

In three rounds, I was able to kill all three monsters in my opponent's team without any of my monsters getting killed. Here is the link to my battle, you can have a look at it. https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_ed07355d013f4400d6314bdfe20509ac?ref=salsh

Thanks, everyone for reading my post once again after a long break on Hive.

Congratulations! Hope you'll have fun along the way - the game stays very intersting while you move up, due to new rulesets and further abilities. Can be overwhelming sometimes, so it's good to start with practice :-D
