Hello Everyone,

This is my latest render from sea life series. Simulated in Houdini and Rendered in Blender Cycles X. You can watch the HD version on YouTube here

Some of the issues I had with the previous works was fixed in this artwork. The facial movements were made smooth and more natural while also making sure the hair root stays stuck to the head as @ryivhnn mentioned in my previous work Chlorophyll

I am still working on adding more facial animation and making the environment look more like underwater. If there are any suggestions, tutorials anyone know, please let me know!

Nice! That looks a lot better :D

there's still some very minor connection issues with the head but you've probably already noticed and fixed that

For "underwater" a lot depends on how deep you're going for and what (if any) background scenery you're going to have. If your computer can handle it volumetrics can make it look really nice, otherwise I found using a lot of coloured and textured lights (disable shadows as you just want the colour and some combination of voronoi and noisy textures to make the underwater crackle pattern) does the job in a "hurry" (it took me a day or so to render something kind of large with just two subjects, no real set, just a blue colour, and 6-8 coloured/textured lights trying for an underwater look x_x).

Super interesting! I wonder if a change in the hair color, to something, in contrast, would have a positive effect?

Good stuff, man. Keep going!

Best wishes for Happiness, Health, and Prosperity in 2022!

Cheers!
