Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

Hi splinter fam,

Welcome to my blog for this weeks social media entry. If you’ve been following my blog you’ll probably know that I play a lot of spl these days and am not even kidding about it. I know I said I was gonna cool down with how much I play spl but when you see the price of sps shooting and shooting up everyday you’ll want to play and accumulate more sps.

At this rate I think I earn close to 150 sps per day which is still a small amount of sps but for now I think it’s good. In a few week I think I might even have to pivot into wild because of the introduction of conclave arcana. Conclave arcana promises to bring a new phase to the game but then it’ll also mean that you’ll need money to get your hands on those packs. One nice part about this is that it seems I’ll sell for 1 dollar unlike with rebellion packs.

So as usual I write about my battles with the Social media entry posts and I’ll be doing the same today. There is this one particular battle that I gambled and it worked out perfectly.

Previously I didn’t like gambling when it came to my battles cause I didn’t want to loose and also loose that precious sps. But these days i do gamble a lot especially when I don’t know how to go about a certain line up. The thing is spl is evolving every day and people are bringing in new ways of handling and going about battles. That is why it’s important to watch the battles even though you can skip them. At times you learn a thing or two from the line up of your opponent. I can’t recollect the number of times I’ve learnt a thing or two from the line up of my opponent and it has at the end of the day helped me in battle.

As usual I had a low mana game but it was better than having a 13 mana or 16 mana game. This battle had a 22 mana and well I would say I was confused as to what line up I could use.

The rulesets to this didn’t help as well. I was thorn between using a line up with cards with little mana and huge health or going in for my monster cards. Going in for my monster cards will mean a lot of attack and health in abundance but it’ll also mean I’ll have little options.

I decided on going with a few but good cards.

The rulesets to this game were noxious fumes. This is one ruleset which will always get the better of me. Next was opportunity. This was the ruleset which discouraged me from going in for low mana cards. And then lastly deflection shield which in reality had no negatives to the game.

I went in for diemonshark, a card that has good health and good shield. I loved the trample and retaliate of this card but I needed to make sure it stays alive to counter and do the job that I wanted it to. That is when river nymph came in. Even though it has as low as 4 health it was the perfect card to keep my diemonshark alive. It has the cleanse ability which removes all debuffs including poison from my allied first position card.

Next was deep lurker which has a very god speed and attack even though I knew it won’t last long in battle. Lastly i went for torrent fiend. I didn’t have any use for this card but for it to act as decoy. It was the card with the least of health which meant it’ll die before it even got the chance to attack. It also meant that it’ll allow my river nymph to cleanse diemonshark before dying.

The game started as I expected it to. Torrent fiend was the first to be killed and then mu opponent went in for river nymph but it survived and did its work, it even had the chance to attack before dying.it cleansed diemonshark of any poison and then died.

From there on ways it was a match of retaliate and trample from my diemonshark and I absolutely loved it. It took on the whole line up on its own. I must also admit that the poison in place helped a lot as well. As it killed some of my opponents cards like it did mine before diemonshark could get to them.
