Splinterlands- A wild hunter now

Hi splinter fam,

welcome to my blog for this weeks entry into the splinterlands engagement challenge. A few days ago we saw the successful launch of conclave arcana; the much anticipated card release for the splinterlands community. Since the launch I have seen a couple of people make a quick return on their investment. Well, not everyone bought the packs to play the game. Some people bought the conclave arcana packs in the hopes of getting black foils so they could sell them for a profit. Some bought it so they could use the high end cards on their lands.

Splinterlands continues to be a rewarding game and there are a lot of ways to make money in the game without playing a single battle. One of them is by making and selling midnight potions. Incase you didn't know, you'll need midnight potions to open conclave arcana packs unlike with chaos legion and rebellion where you needed alchemy and legendary potions only. Unlike with legendary and alchemy where you can just use the motion shop; you'll need to use the splinterlands in game shop where you'll buy from people making these potions. Someone in our discord chats said she makes 11 dollars per day just from selling midnight potions. How cool is that? This means in a week she can make close to 80 dollars from these midnight potions.

Enough of the conclave arcana talks. So now that conclave arcana has been successfully announced, it also means that a lot of people who didn't buy into the conclave arcana pre-sale and general sale will have to pivot to wild league as well. This is my situation now as I don't have enough rebellion set to compete in the modern league any more. As much as I didn't want to rotate to wild it became my only option at the start of the season.

Without my chaos legion cards which I used to play modern and seem to have a lot of them as well I can't play in modern and the only option is to play wild league. So it comes as a pleasure to have learnt that the wild pass for this season has been waived off. Even though the wild pass has been waived off it won't really be such a huge thing for people who use to play in wild regularly. I say this cause the wild pass cost only 2000 dec per season which is about a dollar and you could make it back in posting on hive or playing and earning sps. Now for someone like me who used to play in the modern league it's a huge shift for me.

Why do I say this? Let me explain. For most part of the season I used to hover round diamond I and III. Being in these positions meant that the lowest sps I could earn on an average was 7.5. The highest on average was about 9.5. I could earn as high as 12 to 13 with good win streaks. Now being in wild for the past day has made me realize how good those numbers were. Now in diamond II i am earning 2.5 to 3 sps per win. This is super low for me as this could mean that my 2000 sps per season could go as low as 600 per season.

This will definitely need some getting used to as it has completely changed my strategy. I had plans for the amount of sps I would like to make from the game play in a few years to come but now mehn.

When it comes to the difficulty level of wild I think it is as hard as modern league even though I think at the time being modern will be a little easier. I am saying this because people still need to get used to their new cards and someone who is already used to his rebellion set will find it easier using these set of cards against the new CA. Not to say that the CA cards aren't as deadly but in a few days they'll be as deadly as ever. Cause they come with new abilities which have never been seen before.
